Anyone got a Piper cat back exhaust on their vRS ?

Featured Replies

I can get a Piper cat back exhaust fitted locally for £350 all in fitted.

Anyone have any experience of their systems.

Looking at this one, not sure which tailpipe though.

Piper Exhausts

I had a Piper system years ago on my Astra GTE. It was fairly good but a bit on the quite side.

However that might not be the case anymore

I the cat back changed a few months ago, VW Rescue had the old one, as far as I'm aware they sent it back.

Are you saying the Piper one failed?

Can you chase them up please. The unit has not yet been returned :) Cheers.

We had a problem with the first batch of Large Oval tailpipes. We then arranged to swap over the rear boxes with a later design oval :) The issue was only with the 6"x4" oval as we had to buy this in from a third party but we now have a new batch in and these have been without fault :)

As GarryC stated the 1st exhuast I had was not faulty, just a 3rd party design error, that had no impact on the exhaust performance.

I will drop will @ p.torque a PM as he supplied and arrange fitting.

Will @ P.Torque just PM'd me back.

The exhaust was returned the same day as I had the new one fitted.

Most odd. I have not had it received back here yet. I best give will a call and see where it has got to :)

What's going on here?

Is somebody a third party seller?

I don't see anybody here as a company,,,,

garry works there dont you

I see!

Wayne, I work for Piper. :-)

That design tailpipe had to be bought in and the first batch was faulty. All changed and swapped over now tho.

Roger mate

Just not up to speed on this thread, & so was ,,,,,,,

how much louder is the 6x4 to the standard exhaust?

The tailpipe should not make a difference to the sound, its the rest of the system that will affect it, silencer design, size, position and also the bore size. :)

Hope this helps.
