Aftermarket exhausts for 4x4's- Question for 4x4 owners

Featured Replies

Well having trawled around to find an aftermarket exhaust for the 4x4 & only found one by Supersprint which was HOW MUCH etc etc (

What does it look like today, Stuart? Has it remained stealthy or are the bling alloys and ride height already sufficiently blowing your cover? If so, a blatantly cut-out tail pipe shouldn't be a worry... I'd prefer a hidden one myself, though.

I never found that supersprint one Stuart.

I was talking to Haywood for the purposes of a decat/sports cat setup. Sadly a similar price as it would be the first one, but might not be now.

Personally I'd of gone for a pipe but a pants one, especially if decatted ;)

If I was keeping cat I would of kept it hidden simpy avoiding cutting as thats effort.

Dutch, Still looks the same as it did a year ago although looking at changing the wheels as Ive managed to buckle 3 now, must be something to do with the way I drive !

Im going for a sports cat so guess another vote for not cutting

Another vote for not cutting - stealth is best!

Stuart,

Seeing as how I dented two rims on that RPM tour (okay 2inch kerb edge at whatever mph is going to hurt) I'd say that alot of the wheels are perhaps "weaker" than others.

Might be bobbins but one gets that feeling....or it is the way you drive, hooligan you No this is Stuart; he's controlled....Any potholes near you?

But the AP's and wheel do detract from stealth. If you ever fancy going back to stock brakes, let me know ;)

I would say it's not so much weaker wheels (although some could be) as the lower profile of tyre, thus less protection of the rim before "impact".

I seem to be doing the wheels on bumps in the road, no obvious dents & not really sure when I do them, I am toying with the idea of some RS4 style 5 spokes as they

look a tadge more substantial, just need to see if they go over the brakes.

Thanks for the offer of std brakes but I still have all the bits off mine cluttering up the garage.

Can't remember his name (Dave...?) but the 4x4 owner with the red Jabba'd hatch that went to the Jabba / Briskoda open day last year had the supersprint one.
