Option codes

Are the option code stickers accurate or what?

My sticker says I have electronic vehicle immobilization device. I don't think so. But I may be wrong. How would I know?

It says I have Climatic air con semi automatic. Cripes. News to me. When it is on it blows cold and when it is off it doesn't. Is that it?

What do the different shock absorber rates mean? can they be varied?

The climatic semi auto type means it has temperature regulation instead of a hot/cold dial, if the left hand dial has some temperature markings on it then it's that type. The dual zone is the full enchilada but that is a different system altogether.

The immobiliser is different to the alarm system, it means the car will only start with the correct transponder key, IIRC there is an orange key shaped light on the dash for the immobiliser.

Different models have different shockers, that's all it means and they can't be fettled either.
