hi folks, does anybody know how to reduce the size of a photo using iphoto on the mac, it's got some other basic photo editing stuff but i cant seem to work out how to reduce them to make them web friendly:O

Depends on the version but its normally.

Select the photos File > Export then you can select the size in there

ah thanks, i've got the latest vesion for leopard. it's a shame you cant preview the actual size before you export it

Yea i know its not the best but does get the job done

It's not iPhoto, but this is an excellent bit of software if you find yourself doing it a lot or with large amounts of files. (also great for preprocessing facebook album photos to size if you're into that - though think theres an iPhoto plugin for that now?)
