Vibration - 1st gear pulling off...

Featured Replies

I think it maybe the clutch but hopefully someone can help.

When standstill and letting out cltch with say 1500rpm gently there is a definate judder. Sometimes it feels the gear isnt engaging properly and I feel I have to slow the releasing of the clutch peddle. Feels like grinding on the bite point maybe??

Anyone put a cause on this?:o

Doesnt happen on the move except when giving full on beans on lowere revs. (ie 40mph in 4th say).

Cheers

Sounds like a problem with the DMF I think.

Not really. Ever since remap I have preferred to use revs and seldom pull from low revs... No noticeable clutch slip.

i had the same problem, was a fault in my flywheel,

judder= flywheel :) As mentioned above. I get vibes now, but then mine's single mass so I know it's actually OK. :D

damn I get it from cold in 1st. but its ok when warm

I do 230 miles a day hhmm could be fun

Did you ever get the problem diagnosed with the juddering in first gear when cold pulling away. I need to get mine looked at as it doing the exact same thing. Its only when cold and seems to be for the first couple of starts from a roundabout.

Is a flywheel issue the likley cause. Warrenty is up in Nov so want to get this sorted ASAP

Cheers

Matt
