Software problem?

Featured Replies

I currently run Vista on my works laptop but have a small problem which i don't know how to solve.

The problem is with the programs menu.

If i click on 'All Programs' it brings up the list of software but at the very top is around 7 lines that start something like '{09A09B7-87BS-}' most have around 5.12kb and i don't know get rid of them.

Any suggest to what they are and how to get rid of these please.

If you right click the start button, explore all users, double click programs you should see the offending link's in there and should be able to trash them

Only seen this before when a windows update failed or if someone has been having a nosy at the cached updates in the windows directory

Just done that but it won't let me delete them 'Error 0x80070570' corrupted and unreadable.

They show up just under 'Programs' in all users if that helps.
