Weirdest Thing

Featured Replies

The weirdest thing just happened driving home there. was on the motorway for about 15 minuts and decided to switch on the cruise controll at about 60. EPC light and traction control light both came on and car lost all power, pulled onto the hard shoulder and switched off the engine and re-started it. Everything was ok car drove home fine even when i switched cruise back on.

Anyone else had this problem.

Yes, this sounds like the problem Adrian had with his "old" car. Have you had yours re-mapped?

not that i know off, previous owner didn't say anything about a remap. Any easy way of finding out if it has?

I had same problem & someone suggested MAF. Never had it looked at & havnt had a problem in over 12 months, touch wood!

has it got an atmosferic DV???

I had one one and mine did the same. cos off lack of air and pressure in the system.

I have been for well over 2 years with no issues, (now goes n touch's wood!)

Ways of finding out if a car has been remapped:-

1) Torque logging mode on VAGCom

2) Call (based on where you are) Bedrock Veedubs and Star, and ask! ;)
