Had her cleaned up yesterday

Featured Replies

Took her to my usual car wash centre and had a £10 job.

Im amazed how well she comes up with nothing more than a soapy wash, a shammy and a bit of tyre shine.

Looks a decent job. I had you as the car cherishing type that youd be doing it yourself though!

I live in a flat so its difficult. To much running up and down stairs and no outside tap.

I take it to an Autoglym place: Professional Car Wash and Valet Service in Birmingham

I have used them since they opened, you get a great service from them.

I do finish the work after they have done there's once back at home.

Looks good but what protection is on the paintwork? Can't stop the cringe feeling, sorry :o

Yeah, get it done there then wax it.

Take it your like me then and have better things to do than to waste 8 hrs of your weekend doing it yourself.....

Just hope that your £10 included the 2 bucket method and a micro-fibre wash mit thing to produce such stunning results !!!!

I occationally wax the paintwork, but it takes sooooo long.

I will be interested to see the pics of this when I get home this evening as I am guessing for £10 the wash process is not that great?!?!?!?

Just remembered to have a look at this, paintwork does look good, wonder what it's like under the work lamps though.....................

Pfffft, half an hour tops.

Took me 5 hours to polish her and wax her last time.

I've never yet started to do a car, and not be finished 4 hours later..

Always takes me all damn day ! :(

Lovely condition MK1 mate! :)

Took me 5 hours to polish her and wax her last time.

What were you doing for 5 hours? Whizz around with the applicator pad and wax, 10 mins. 20 mins tops to buff off, dry and wax the wheels if needed and then do the bump strips and tyre black.

You wont need to polish when you get the deswirl done, however Id make sure the company you are taking it to do use sheepskin washmitts etc otherwise itll end up the same as before.

Gave her another good going today.

A trip to "The Car Spa" and a 4 hour polish and wax session.

My arms are killing me.
