silver fabia vrs cleaning

Featured Replies

i have had my silver fabia vrs 3 weeks now and it has been kept in excellent condition by the previous owner mr grumpy .

i would like to know what the best products are to give it a really good clean every month or so and just to give it a normal clean every week end. i would like to try claying and i might be able to borrow my mates porter cable but if i cant can i still use the same products. also what about the interior dash trim etc. i have got some autoglym leather cleaner for the seats.

thanks for any help

Have a look at the detail Gilly and I did on Little Katie's Silver Fabia vRS - I posted it on Detailing World at Newbie v Silver Skoda Fabia vRS - Detailing World.

I tried to mention all the different products we used.

Also have a read of the guides on Polished Bliss at Car Care Advice

It was clayed, polished and waxed a mere month ago..

Just use a decent wash and wax ( I use Halfords own brand ) and once a month a quick srp, and generic wax keeps it looking fine.

I used to look at the car, and think, I'll do the front wings today, and spend an hour a wing, and over a month, the car will have all the panels fettled, and easy to keep clean with just a quick wash ( literally 5 minutes ) once a week, and maybe a couple of hours on a weekend doing the odd panel to keep it mint.

You have got me paranoid now Matthew, thinking I have sold a dirty car...

( The SE is now undergoing the full Grumpy treatment, and the Mazda has taken me two full days to get a proper gleam on it.)
