Mines not a long list as I'm only a young'un!

Before I learnt to drive, as a family we had a 1981 Cortina Estate, then a 1989 Granada Ghia then a 1994 Escort 1.3 LX.

First car after I passed my test in 2000 was my Mums 1994 red (pink) Escort 1.3, then I went to university so didn't do any driving for 4 years apart from holidays. When I finally got into the world of real work I got my first own car:

628295564_Ford_Fiesta%20Si_1995.jpg

R.I.P. 2005 - sold to a local "yoof" after it started drinking oil at a ridiculous rate

628295564_Rover_400_1997.jpg

R.I.P. 2006 - guess what? Headgasket went. :D

628295564_Nissan_Micra_1997.jpg

Bought this in desperation at needing something to get me to work. Can't complain it was a sound little runner and the kid I sold it to will probably get another 100,000 miles out of it!

Only had the Micra for 2 months then decided to get a (nearly) new car so got a loan and bought an Octy vRS.

1- Citroen AX 1.0 - died in a head on collision with a rover. There was basically no front end left on it.

2 - Pug 106 1.0 - died when the handbrake didn't engage properly and it reversed itself down the driveway into the house.

3 - VW polo mk3 1.1 breadvan - sold when it hit 110,000 and heat was coming from behind the speedo. Got £50 for it.

4 - VW Golf mk3 1.9TDI 110 - hit 125,000 and I got fed up of it after 4 years so traded in against

5 - Fabia VRS

I was taught to drive in a pink Toyota Starlet

First car was a 1995 N reg Astra Merit 1.4 in white. My Dad bought it in 2001 with 33k miles on the clock.

In 2004 I had the car registered and insured in my name

2005 got written off :(

After that I had a company van for a few months a MWB Sprinter 308CDI

That was a good van to drive around in. Limited to 78mph but the noise was tiresome at that speed. Was refined and stable at 65.

Then had a Combo DTI for a few months. Didn't drive too badly.

2006 I started another job and it was nearing the time of my mums birthday so I needed my own wheels. This car being my current Skoda  bought with 75k miles on the clock

Other cars I have driven are -

My sisters Micra L reg 1.0 16v. OK to potter about in.

Sisters Corsa 1.2 16v SXI before that got written off - Was like a little go kart at that time but shame it was P*ss yellow

Vauxhall Astra 1.6 16v 52reg hire car. Got to 130+ leptons and it feels like warp speed!! Haven't done that again

Fiesta 1.4 16v Zetec 52plate which was a hoot to drive (sadly the passengers didht share that opinion)

Vauxhall Meriva 1.6 - Practical but not that good to drive

Vauxhall Astra 1.7 CDTI - Engine was rough but suspect it was thrashed by prev people who rented it

Polo 1.2 Now that was a good car. Sweet little engine.

Uncles 51 Vectra 1.8 - Didnt inspire much confidence.

Zafira 1.8 - Now that was pretty fun, and quite peppy for its size.

Corsa 1.2 SXI courtesy car - Felt too bulky and lacked steering feel

Ford Ka 1.3 - Handled well but thats about it.

Ford Focus 1.6 estate - Now this was a good car to pilot.

I think thats all of them!!!

The two cars I have kept the longest are the Fiat Panda and the Octavia. I guess because both do exactly what I want/need at the time of owning.

My favourite has to be the MK1 Golf GTI, brilliant in so many ways and still quick by today's standards. The throttle response was the quickest I've ever had.

Which 200sx was it? s13, s14 or s14a? I haven't met anyone yet who has owned a s15.....

Not sure what no. but it was 1998, ex brewery rep and had done 75k at under 3 years old:eek: Not your usual reps car. Nice car but had to go as my daughter grew to 5'6" and wouldn't fit in the back any more:rofl: Expensive to run via main stealers as well.

Here's my few from around 1992/3 onwards:

Mk 1 Fiesta (1.1L Popular) A207 NNM. Dad bought it cheap from his work (about £250) IIRC. Then upgraded to a Mk2 Fiesta (1.1L Popular Plus) B40 XGS - engine went pop on that so got another Fiesta 1.1L Popular Plus but slight better condition E Reg. Is there a theme running here ???

Then I got a part time job whilst at college and got a Citroen ZX 1.4 3 Door in bright red (L692 VAC) V nice and reasonbly nimble. Bought from a firm of solicitors (Wright, Hassel and Co)

Left college and "upgraded" to an 'R' Rover 216 Si 3 Door (R494 YND) in that pearlescent purple colour (in hindsight it was horrible !). That lasted me for ages until I started my job and got into company cars.

Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi hire car for a few weeks on starting, then a VW Golf 1.9 TDi X499 ABN in bright blue; then LR04 NZV Golf 1.9 TDi; then when the twins came along I got my first Skoda LM03 VDD, Mk1 Black saloon. Eventually got rid of that last August with 130k on the clock and got RJ07 UAU Octavia II 1.9 PD Estate in Storm Blue.

Not as many as some people but I enjoyed them
