Does anyone have any idea if you change an engine would the faults still be there in the old engine still be there when you start the new engine.

I had an engine that blocked the pick up pipe resulting in the the top end seizing before it did this the oil pressure light came on and then when the engine stopped the engine management light came on but i have now finished putting in the new engine and its running like a dream, BUT i have the samelights on oil and engine lights, would these still be from the previous problem?

would i have to go back to the dealer to have these switched off!

Any ideas???

Cheers

I believe you need to clear the faults as they are stored in the ECU.
