use g3 cutting paste avalable from all body shop supliers

who would that be then ? pm me details if poss :)

i checked the scratches and although a couple of them can 'sorta' be felt with a fingernail it's really just the slightest bit - so no stanley knife style gouges thankfully. I treated the worst of them with the t-cut polish and it seemed to make the scratches a little less evident but i still think i could do with getting it professionally looked at.

A company called autoperfection do samples of Farecla Total and 3m extra fine which if you apply with a MF applicator has enough bite to sort out most issues.

The Total took out 4000 wet sanding marks well and the gloss produced by the extra fine was IMHO great considering it was done by hand

Take it to a professional detailer, will probably set you back £300 for someone decent but worth it, unfortunately I cant recomend anyone in Ireland but try searching the Forums your side that cover Porsche, Ferrari etc as they all have knowledge of good guys.

You need someone like detailfinish - the highest standard of car detailing and sports car protection. Based in Cheshire, North West - operating nationally Excellent but unfortunately in cheshire

i'd rather not go through the insurance if i can help it - i live in northern ireland and i already pay far too much for insurance as it is.

Don't know about how home insurance works over there, but have you checked it out? There just might be a clause that would cover the parked car, and most home insurance at least where I live covers damage caused by minors. As the car was parked at home at the time (I assume) it just might be covered like any other expensive item in your house.

personally I would take a picture then when they buy their 1st nice car repeat the action on their car.

My eldest rode his bike down our drive and down the side of SWMBO's fabia a couple of weeks ago, thankfully most of the scratch from the handlebars came out.
