Hey folks. I'm currently leasing a 67 Plate Rapid taxi, Trying to use leads to get my old Mk1 Octavia started again. I'm trying to figure out where the Negative node is to attach the cable on the Rapid? I see the Red positive, that's clear enough. Probably don't help when it's dark, and i'm clueless with this stuff. Probs best check again tomorrow. Can't see anything on YouTube or google. TIA

I'm having the same issues. Happy I found this thread. The Hazard switch was replaced last year.

My own Octavia classic 57 is 270k. The taxi is Mk2 59, 280k.

Sorry folks, I'm a novice when ordering car parts. I have a 57 reg mk1 classic 74kw one. . Looking to order a window regulator from ebay. There are many versions of body type, ie, Hatchback 1u2, 1uz etc.. Is there anyway to find out what the body type is? I'm thinking it's the 1u2 Hatchback. Thanks.

Does anyone know how I find the part number for the split breather hose coming out the crankcase? I have tried searches, eBay etc.. No joy yet. Thanks.

I seem to be getting a loss of power when driving in 5th gear, Upwards of 60-70MPH, Car goes into limp mode. After reading through the site, I thought it could be sticky turbo vanes, or maybe something needing cleaned out. I since noticed the hose coming out of the top of the engine had split. (no idea what it's called) I don't know much about cars to be honest, and wondered if this would cause the problem. I recently took ownership of an Octavia Mk1, Full mot on it, with a few advisories. The one that concerns me is the power steering, (Steering rack has a slight leak of oil at n/s). I am clueless with cars tbh, and as my anxiety is in full swing, I though i'd ask if this is a common thing, or should I be worried? I intend to go back in tomorrow to the lad that sold me the car and ask about it. Cheers
