  1. Hi all! I'm Brett from chatham, A few of you may remember me from a few years ago, I used to own a black mk1 fabia vrs but regrettably sold it on for a mazda rx8 (biggest mistake ever!) since then it's been a chain of bad cars due to the mazda crippling me in finance and dying after just a year of owning it! But I'm glad to say I've put down a deposit today for another black mk1 fabia vrs and collecting it ASAP I must say I've certainly missed the skoda and especially this forum!
  2. that sounds about right :wonder: Bloomin dealers! Thanks for the help though
  3. I had the same problem with my Vrs, but mine started hesitating too. Admittedly my MAF was a bit poo, so i got a new one but still wasnt 100%. Mine was sorted with a new diesel filter.
  4. I thought it may have been that, but unfortunatly the wires were fine... the actual switch is dead on mine :( Damn these little niggles!
  5. Hi all, Finally have a few spare pennies to get my car upto scratch! The one thing im looking for which isnt needed, just wanted as its a pain is a new boot switch as mine only opens on the key. Searched absolutely everywhere and cant find a place that sells them. Would anyone know what the part number is? Otherwise il have to go to a scrappy. Thanks
  6. I also have the HTC sensation XE and its the best phone ive ever owned! Many apps for it (If your into them that is), fast and reliable, battery is pretty good too and the headphones that come bundled with it are brilliant
  7. Have a set of 3 LED bulbs in mine, no light warning and really have updated the look
  8. Thanks for the reply guys, i think il leave it for a pro to do as it sounds like if i try it i will break something! (Im very heavy handed and always resort to a hammer if things dont move!)
  9. Hey all, and merry christmas! As i have no life, and am waiting for the dinner to be cooked, i thought id ask a quick question. My left side bearing is whining badly now, i have the bearing/hub, but need to know how i remove the hub? Ive gotten so far as removing the brake disk, caliper and carrier, and the 36mm bihex bolt in the middle, but the little bugger wont move! do i need a hub removal tool, or just alot of brute force and ignorance? Thanks guys
  10. Thanks for the help guys, im a bit of a wuss at the moment as i dont want to cut into the head lining but when i have the time and money, i shall give it a go Korban, i like how thats done too
  11. Just a quick one, i had a mad thought this morning on putting an interior light in the rear of my fabia for passengers in the back, has anyone done this, and also can it be done?
  12. Hi mate, i had the same problem and it occured after trying to clean the MAF sensor ( i made it worse :( ) Best bet is either to clean that or see if you can test a new one on it and see how that goes
  13. It looked like it, it had got to the point where anything over half throttle just shook me about! atleast shes alive and kicking better then ever now
  14. Well Ive finally gotten to the bottom of it once and for all! All down to the fuel filter, Now why didnt i start there in the first place?
  15. I had done the opposite to grr666, and only tinted the red parts and left the clear parts alone. i used the darker black flyeyes. Lights are still perfectly visible too, and also no problems from mr plod
