Very squeaky brakes

Featured Replies

Morning all :)

For some reason my brakes have become very squeaky when applying them!! Seems to be after the car has been left for a while, but its happening every day!! Its only done 5000 miles.

Any ideas?

cheers

Kit :)

Try some Wurth Chain & Brake cleaner.

I've used it on both my car & bikes brakes, clean brakes/discs & calipers. No squeaks or squeals either.

then do some heavy, sharp braking to dislodge any dirt/stones, maybe re seat the pads in the carrier. Im talking hitting the brakes like as in emergency stop hard, quiet clear road obviously

Tried the heavy braking...yep.... as in emergency stop but still it continues and only does it after the car has been sat for a while....as in about half an hour!!
