Featured Replies

hi all i have a 2006 octy vrs i want ch/lh on is it possible , i dont have auto lights on my car

i already have vcds just need to know how it can be done thanks

Yes it can be done.

You'll get options for on/off and length of time in the Maxidot (if fitted).

Leaving home lights will come on everytime you unlock the car.

Coming home lights will stay on if you leave the headlamp switch in the on position.

ok thanks i dont have maxidot so this could be done through vcds?

Yep, my 07 plate does this and I've got two rear fogs

Do you have Auto Wipers?

If so the sensor in this will enable CH/LH to work better. ie. when its dark and you unlock the car the lights will come on. If it's light outside the lights won't come on. As you mentioned you don't have auto lights so you could leave the switch to on all the time and this way the lights will come on all the time I think. The only problem there is they will come on even in daylight.

Once set, you can alter times through maxidot, if you don't have it I think 30 seconds is the standard time they stay on for.

Don't quote me but off the top of my head you need to open controller 9 (central electronics) then 07 Coding, then Long Coding Helper. In here if you just click along the Bytes you will see CH LH options so tick those and make sure the one by them (personalisation or auto) is selected as personalistation.

You will know if it works when you next open the car in the dark, assuming you have a rain sensor which doubles as a light sensor. Your lights will come on even if the headlight switch is off.
