Hi all, just bought a 54 plate yellow Octavia RS. What a cracking car, I've come from a BMW/Subaru background, and can't believe what a car this RS is. I'm servicing it tomorrow, but I was wondering if there's a tuning guide someone could direct me to?.

Congratulations! ........ aren't they great?
Not sure on a Tuning guide as such, but the general approach is to start with a good service health check, then to a Stage 1 remap (Shark, R-Tech and Jabbasport seem the most recommended on here and are VAG-centred tuners), then onto a FMIC upgrade and a couple of other component changes for a Stage 2 remap.

Cheers guys for the welcome!. Servicing tomorrow, all filters, fluids and plugs. Does anybody do a Bluefin type plug in software upgrade for the 1.8T RS?, going to go the uprated panel filter and exhaust first, and then a ecu upgrade of some kind. I've owned and driven allsorts of cars, and still can't believe what a quality car these Octavia's are, should of bought one years ago!! lol

Shark do a STS unit to swap std map to modded file. As far as im aware bluefin are available for any car arent they? As in they are a generic device.
My understanding is you upload the files via ur laptop then plug the bluefin in to obd port and transfer.
