Somewhere I'm sure I've seen something about a more powerful conversion for the estelle starter motor. My estelle is running a pug 1.9 gti lump on bike carbs but it spins over soooo slowly on the starter......

Does the Estelle transaxle bolt directly to the XU19 block? If not, why not drill the sandwich plate for the PSA starter?

Well, that's a tough question to answer. Sometimes some adverts pop-up in Hungary's Skoda community forums but currently I can't tell any source for it. I'm sure it's also available from czech specialists, you may need to contact anybody who's having channels to them...

Get a Felicia starter and weld on the Estelle 'teeth' - I got one from Keiranzxt - marvellous piece of kit.

Hard to exaggerate how much.....10 times as quick on turn over should probably cover it.
