Evening all,

I have suffered with this for some time and about time to try sort. This started when the bootlit button seemed a bit lazy/slow. Then later it just didn't work, the button on the lid made no usual click and a broken fuse was found. This was replaced, upon first use the fuse blew again, nor the button on the key fob or the boot lid won't work.

Electrician couln't find a fault with the circuit when a lamp was connected to the fuse holder, the mechanismm on the rear panel was greased and all seemed ok. About the fifth time of use the fuse blew again! I can now install a fuse, hear the relay click but no operation or function. Opens fine with the manual release inside the boot.

Anyone any ideas???

Has been sugested that the washer could leak onto a joint in the wiring loom???
