Throttle pedal trouble code fix Tdi application's.

Seen a few of these now,car comes in under LOS and trouble codes relating to throttle pedal incoherent signal. Checking in live data showed pedal data to be fine yet the code would not clear.Checking voltage's found no problem and a visual of the plug showed the terminals to look clean and dry.

A call to our local VW dealer showed a rework that replaces the connection to the throttle pedal using a repair kit that is available from TPS.

Connector part number is 1K0973706 and the repair "tails are 000979025ea. I removed the pedal assembly as this gives a bit more room to work.

Cut the old connector off but keep a small length of cable on the connector to use as a reference.Insert the new tails into the new connector then solder these to the old loom being careful to double check the colours as the new repair sections are all yellow so double check before soldering.

Use heatshrink for a neat job and retape as required.

Clear any stored codes after refitting and road test checking for any returning codes.(there should be none now!!!!)
