i have 2005 vrs fabia can my windows be opended by the remote .????

if i go left and right with key in the lock the window opens and the closes ,

i know its been asked before on here but iam asking again just incase someone as sortted it out so we can open and close windows by remote ???

Dunno - but what on earth will it add to your life? My car does it but I'm yet to figure out the point!

I'm sure you can get them to shut automatically... that would be useful

On the Octavia, you can open and close the windows by the remote (and set them to auto close if it's parked up and starts raining....if it's got a rain sensor) but none of this is possible on the Fabia.

The fabia has the wrong sort of ccu, that is unable to be programmed for remote windows

It can't be done by putting the key into the door lock, turning and holding it but not on the remote unless you wore a relay in iirc.

Yes, and no.

There's a thing (I can't remember what it's called) that does it, but it locks out the CCM so it can't be altered/read again. There's another piece of software (http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/472146.aspx) that can do it, but not on the Fabia's CCM though.

My car does it, I find it useful for dropping the windows from the house on a sunny day prior to getting into the car.

The old version of vag com. Not sure what it was called but only worked in DOS. That used to be able to do it. It was a serial cable not an USB one as well.

I have both a laptop and cable to do it if you want to give it a try. Might even have the instructions somewhere.

it's the Holy Grail! IIRC there's some software (alientech, alienware, aliensfromouterspace, something like that!) from Poland, even then it's a bit of a job from what I can gather.
