Description:
Great in parts, a bit dull in others, this is still one of the best touring roads in the UK, although more hardcore thrills can be found elsewhere. Contains a mixture of incredibly fast open sweepers, long straights, and also plenty of slate-walled twisties through Snowdonia national park where you can open the window and hear your engine/exhaust note reverberating through the forests. Drawbacks are heavy traffic, sections with boring license-losing long straights and plod out in force, but there are plenty of overtaking spots, loads of variety and lovely scenery to boot. A superb road to drive at night.
