  1. Very clean looking car. Decent price too! Shame im not on the lookout for a car, but would reckon that wont hang around long!
  2. Mains pressure should be ok. about 50psi needed. If you have a trigger nozzle on your hosepipe, strick it to the power jet setting, if you can fire it vertically about 20ft in the air you should be good
  3. Given the state of some of the streets, a VERY heavy cut pad
  4. I've got my own production setup at home for the De-ionised water. Which comes in handy for rinsing the car down after a wash And yeah, makes a massive difference to window cleaning, no chemicals, longer shine, and faster too (usually), just costs a packet compared to a ladder, bucket and some washing up liquid!
  5. Thanks @travs makes perfect sense. Its a shame it isn't more widely publicised so people know there is a standard (though hopefullymembership etc isn't prohibitively expensive for anyone starting out of course, as this could damage the industry more than anything). Working as a window cleaner myself, I can see what zero regulation can do, especially when someone does a bad job and people assume EVERYONE using the same equipment will be just as bad. Get some funny looks when you explain some skill is involved!
  6. @Nick_H I used Ashman Detailing for the exterior of a van im selling. Given I don't think it has ever been cleaned properly in 20 years in came out fantasticaly well. Not sure if he is part of the IDA or PVD ( @travs if you're able to send me a message with a bit more info on both and what benefits bring a member has to both customer and detailer I'd be interested to know) but did a very good job. Came to me and spent from 8:30am to 6pm on it! Did I say it had never been cleaned properly?
  7. Just FYI, if your lights are lighting up the large signs (you know, the ones well above any head height when driving) then they probably aren't 'really great' for anyone within 800yards of you, especially if it makes them too bright
  8. Buna Ziua @Sneffex , lovely choice of car in the Superb, also liking the colour choice in the violet. Hopefully it'll survive the Bucharest roads unharmed! (Going by the vehicle registration it is Bucharest right? BR for Brasov? Most of my friends over here were from the north so all MM plates!)
  9. If going for "new" cars then I agree the F-type would fit, if you would rather go for a bit more comfort, then its longer old brother the XK would fit. Very comfy, room for even tall ones, lots of space in the boot for suitcases Most comfort was probably the convertable as it runs softer springs (though a bit less relaxed on the engine side with 500bhp!)
  10. Slight side-topic question. But have they got a solution apart from GSM based alarms? (Used to work in the personal alarm sector myself dealing with Tunstall, Tynetec, Doro and Legrand)
  11. Not quite norfolk. But Fen View Motors in March (just past kings lynn...ish) would be my recommendation. Took my cars to Steve since the day he opened, he was trained as a Skoda tech up until he started the garage. Always given good service and went above and beyond. Also uses a garage 100yards down the road to do MOT's, so the testers wont make stuff up as there is no money in it for them (Steve is a smart cookie as you may have guessed) https://www.facebook.com/FenViewMotors/
  12. Lets see if I can get around the filter... auto sh i te .com another forum full of people who love projects like this!
  13. auto****e.com I have posted a link to here @Boomycol there are some who would love it but can't make the 1 week deadline, one guy did mention maybe being able to pick it up next week though if you could hold onto it a tiny bit longer? EDIT: Thought the auto-censor might catch me out there
  14. Ressurecting this thread a little as I have reached another milestone with the Van, its not doing bad for 15 years old...
  15. At least put it up over on the "other forum" where cars of this caliber are their bread and butter. I would but I reckon you have more clout over there than me When does it need to be gone by @Boomycol?
