  1. These guys keep texting me with offers for new cars, sending letters about so called VIP events and keep continually phoning despite me asking them numerous times to remove me from their mailing list! Lightcliffe Warrington - You sold me a dud car, I will not buy from you again!
  2. Has anyone with this problem actually experienced another car that doesn't have the problem? The reason I ask is that I have regularly driven 3 of these cars and not noticed this sound on any. Either there has to be something different with the faulty ones or they are all the same and certain people are more sensitive?
  3. Yes that would drive me mad too. I've no real idea what's causing that. I would imagine that the suspension is not properly decoupled from the chassis e.g a missing rubber or something touching where it shouldn't.
  4. How bizarre. I take it you are referring to the constant bass note thrumming though the car?
  5. I have come across occasions when I have tried to start it too quick and the car has automatically delayed operation of the starter motor until it was ready (as Andy suggested they do). However the delayed start issue is when the car has obviously decided it is ready and appears to operate the starter normally, which then ends up cranking for a few seconds before it fires. I had guessed that there was a sticking non return valve in the fuel system. Normally it does start straightaway. My previous Octavia 3, MY 13 with the same engine never had this symptom at all. Saying that though are all the affected cars VRS's? My previous car was an Elegance, I also drive a MY15 Elegance regularly and have not observed the problem on this car either.
  6. Thanks, I was just weighing up options. I don't really want to post too much information at this time, suffice to say that I may have a complaint moving forward. I would never simply break a contract without good reason.
  7. Sounds about right. Do you know if this type of agreement is covered under the financial ombudsman?
  8. I wondered if any of you guys have any experience terminating a personal lease by transferring the car and lease agreement to another person along with it's remaining contract payments? To be clear I am talking about personal lease where there is no option to purchase the car and it normally goes back at the end of the term and not PCP or HP. A number of websites have appeared that charge a fee to advertise your car and introduce you to somebody that is interested in taking on the car and it's outstanding payments for the remaining term. I believe that the new person has to be credit checked by the Lease company and the agreement is simply transferred to them. I am interested if anyone has been through this process. How easy was it and what are the downsides?
  9. Mine does it too every so often. May try Andy's suggestion instead of waiting for it to go through it's sequence.
  10. You are probably OK, mines never done that. New in November 14 and now done approx. 5700 miles.
  11. Sorry to resurrect an old post. I was just doing a bit of googling and it looks like my old car (the subject of this thread) has since been sold by The Car People in Wakefield, at least they had it advertised a while back. Presumably the old girl is back on the road now hopefully repaired and not causing trouble for her new owner!
  12. Stupid question perhaps, but why? What's wrong with the factory items fitted to the car?
