I've got the H&R -35mm springs, handling is hugely improved but hardly sacrificed any of the comfort, I'd highly recommend them

It's the second number, axle weight is 1100 on mine, it's a petrol but if anything yours will be heavier, if you open the passenger front door the plate is at the bottom on the pillar between the front and rear door -

I had a similar problem with my mk2 vrs which had similar miles to you, I just fitted a set of the -35mm H&R last month, and they're fantastic hasn't dropped the car too much but has cured the soft rear end while retaining most of the comfort, I'm in my late(ish) 30's with a family and this is our main car and there's been no complaints, hope this helps you Lee -
I used poorboys black hole glaze and natty wax on on my last 2 cars, with awesome results, would highly recommend them

You should be able to get your mapper to map the car to run the atmospheric instead of the re-circ and it'll not over-fuel
-
The subaru turbo engine, wrx and sti, are also designed to run re-circ, fitting a dump valve in place of the re-circ valves can cause nasty fueling issues, as the ECU is still fueling the the car for the air that should be there but isn't, I assume the vag engine will be the same
-
Progrip in larbert, he's just off the motorway, he's awesome, and only about £70
-
I used a mk5 golf facia adaptor from halfords to fit a single din head unit to my mk2 vrs, and got the vag wiring adaptor from there also
-
I'm getting married next year and we're wanting to move to a bigger house, hence the change to a octavia vrs, I'll have another 1 at some point though
-
Nice, I'm a subaru man too, I had a classic and a bug-eye sti, I'm also suffering withdrawal after 2 and a half months
-
Cheers guys, I'm a recent convert to poorboys, really pleased with the results, just a pity they don't stay looking like that long
-
Meguirs clay bar, autoglym super resin polish, poorboys black hole glaze then 2 coats of poorboys natty wax for dark cars, happy with the results

Not been on here long so thought I'd share the family fleet with you's after a day spend yesterday waxing, my 55 plate vrs and her 02 plate V5 golf
