  1. take a look at this then: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEAT-BELT-ALARM-BUCKLE-KEY-SAFETY-STOP-CLIP-CLASP-HONDA-CRV-MPV-/191628964252?hash=item2c9df9f19c:g:GAIAAOSwgQ9Vn-QO still i'd advise to always wear a seat belt
  2. why would you want to do that, seats belts are there for safety not using them is risking your own life
  3. i have owned since April 2014, the car has been great to me started first time every time never had any issues with it. until my speedo died, i replaced the speedo and tried to code the keys to it and have not managed to do it so it is currently a non runner, i have done research and to code in the keys you need to vehicles SKC which i do not have as i have replaced the old speedo which i do not have anymore. about the car: Skoda Fabia Orange 69734 miles 4 owners Full service history Full MOT history MOT out in Jan 2015 Currently Sorn I'm going to start with the bad parts: -The body work isn't in the best condition but would be an Easy Repair, i have started to clean it up myself with filler and started to paint certain panels - Some marks on the seats (will clean out) -Radio Needs Code as i have discontinued the battery - rear passenger door handle missing (can still be opened) good parts: -engine was good when running -brand new battery -new head gasket fitted less than 4,000 miles ago HPI Clear i have documents as proof Will swap for another Vehicle Message Me if you have something.
  4. it depends really, i have less than two months before i have to move so it would have to be all gone by then the car is in manchester, and yes i have the old dials they are dead tried reading the immo pin using Vag Tacho and had no joy that is the latest picture of the car i have, i will try to get more but it would be monday until i get any as i am currently in liverpool, the old speedo blew, i was replacing the SMD's and it didn't like it hasn't worked since
  5. hi there, i have for sale my fabia. the car is a non runner due to the immobiliser blocking the car from starting after replacing the speedo, it needs to be recoded to the ecu ignored for the car to run, the engine starts but cuts out after a few seconds due to the immo. about the car: skoda fabia orange 70,000 miles 4 owners full history services full MOT history MOT out in Jan 2015 I'm going to start with the bad parts: -needs a respray ( could get away with touchups but the car was keyed when i bought it and i have started to sand the car down getting it ready for a repaint) -the body work isn't in the best condition -no radio ( after market was fitted this has been removed) - no front speakers ( aftermarket was fitted now removed) - some marks on the seats good parts: - LED lights all round -engine was good when running - brand new battery -new head gasket fitted less that 4,000 miles ago there is bound to be more i have forgot but if you need any more information just drop me a message I'm open to offers on the car but I'm listing it at £250 but like i said I'm open to offers as i need to get rid of it due to moving
  6. i will do now mate, and i really don't know anything better than scrap really
  7. my car has to go as i have no way of moving it and i have to move out in 3 months, what options do i have on getting rid of the car, we buy any car has quoted £75 at which i laughed at. the car is in okay state at the moment but does not run due to the immo being blocked as it needs coded. the rear passenger side door is dented to hell, and the car has various parts sanded down as my plan was to respray the car and turn it into a Vrs lookalike but it has to go any help would be appreciated
  8. i tether the iPad from my phone, the routes i go are luckily covered by o2 so i very really get limited coverage, i haven't found an issue with it yet it does i agree but with the part i had and me not willing to for out for a big expensive navi unit i wanted to do something myself, you could say the car has carplay now haha
  9. yeah the picture was my iPad 4th gen, not my mini haha still works just as good plus the holder will holder anything
  10. you won't need to even touch the iPad, with an apple device running IOS8 you can turn on a feature that allows you to say "hey siri" in which activates the built in personal assistant therefor meaning its hands free providing you have the device on charge/connected to a power source. this would allow you to do a whole range of things such as navigation, message, call, music etc etc
  11. in-car Tablet ( in my case iPad mini ) needed: 1.) ipad mini 2.) ipad mini bracket/holder ( i got mine from pound land/ pound world - works a dream ) 3.) in car lighting cable 4.) jack to phono x2 5.) jack splitter 6.) RCA ends 7.) 12v powered panel mount USB if you do not have an amp fitted to your car please read section two aswell remove radio locate front and rear speaker cables (if no amp is being used or fitted) pull out the speaker cables from the main radio connector and make them into RCA cable ends (as shown here: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Rca-Cables) then using the jack to phono cables link up the front right and rear right and plug them into one phono on one jack-phono and the front left, rear left to the other connect both cables to the jack splitter and you have an AUX cable to connect to the iPad mini now we want to make the power source for the iPad mini, to do this we will use a panel mount USB powered by the original radio power source. using the red and black power cables on the main radio connecter red being positive and black being negative. link to USB: http://www.mobilecentre.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=663 to do this we will create and in dash USB that we can mount in the existing hole of the radio now we how our power source and AUX cable sorted, we now need to cover up our work and cover up the hole in the dash not forgetting to feed the cables we fitter to the cover, you can use whatever material you need for the cover, i used plastic and covered it in carbon wrap and used plastic dowels for the strengthener you will also need to add your iPad holder/bracket to your cover so it will need to be strong unless you mount it to the radio surround and build the cover around it. you can now have your iPad held in securely and connect it up to your car and used as your radio whilst hiding the wires and making it look smart, on the bonus side you can take your iPad out the car when you leave meaning it is not a security risk as it will just be a cover and a bracket, you could take the cover to the next level and have a pop out/removable mount/bracket for the iPad but theres always room for improvement Section two For cars without amplifiers you will need a small amp that you can mount in the dash i recommend this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-12V-Hi-Fi-Audio-Stereo-Amplifier-for-Cars-Motorcycle-Home-with-Car-Charger-/400755791562?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item5d4ee816ca you can mount the amp in the existing radio hole in the dash so it is out of the way and hidden to connect the speakers to the amp you will need to connect speaker cables to the output on the amp and use a male jack to male phono connector with the phonos plugging into the input on the amp you do not need to turn your speaker cables into phonos if your amp does not have phono outputs!!! to finish off the dash mount i made a cover out of plastic and wrapped it in carbon just to make it look good, cut holes in the plastic for the aux, usb and iPad mount and its good to go
  12. using magnets you risk scratching the iPad overtime you remove it, have a look on my post above and nip to poundland to get on of those stands there great
