  1. Not lowered...but on a slanty drive so maybe that makes it look lower!! I think the 19" are awesome...the car was ex-demo and had 18's on but ordered 19's in advance so I could swap them on the day as I picked it up!!
  2. With the Mrs out for the evening I managed a decent evening clean on my VRS. I waxed it when I bought it which was about 2 months ago and now it just needs a quick shampoo and comes up lovely! Very pleased with it...when I was washing 3 neighbours came out of their houses to talk to be about the car...being from London originally I'm not used to speaking to my neighbours!!!
  3. Nope...didn't even realise what is was until I was over it...to be honest I think it was kicked up by another passing car... Other than that, its been great...went from a small car to this and I'm loving the fact I can transport loads of stuff...had 4 mates, and 5 sets of golf clubs in it the other day...all in a days work!
  4. Hi, I am new to the forum so hi...have already posted in the "newbies" section but thought I would also share a recent annoying experience with my new VRS here (wasn't the Skoda's fault!). So, I bought an Octavia VRS tsi estate 14 plate 6 weeks ago and decided to upgrade to 19" Xtreme alloys. (the original 18" ones are on sale in the classifieds if you are interested!). 1 week after changing, I was driving to work down the M1 and a clip that fastens the load on a lorry shot across the road and under my wheel...at first it seemed ok, but moments later the tyre pressure alert came on and I pulled onto the hard shoulder to assess the damage. Basically the clip had sliced a gash in the wall of the tyre making it unrepairable and taken a chunk out of the brand new alloy! So, £170 for a new tyre and an alloy that needs a refirb and only had the car for 4 weeks!!! Hopefully that is my bad luck out of the way for a while!!!
  5. Hi, Recently bought a mkIII Octavia VRS and have upgraded to 19" Xtremes which means I have 4 as good as new 18" Gemini Anthracite Alloy Wheels with tyres for sale. Part Number: 5E0601025AJHA7 They are in immaculate condition and have Conti SportContact 2 tyres on which have only done 1000 miles. Picture below. They are yours for £800. Collection from Ampthill (MK45), London (N13) or Lichfield (WS14). Thanks.
  6. Hi, I'm Pete and have recently bought a 14 plate Octavia VRS tsi estate. I live in Ampthill, just south of Bedford and haven't seen too many on the roads around here. I have never owned a Skoda before but have been pestered by a friend who is a keen fan and am glad I did! Am already planning a road trip to Italy next year to really test it out! Looking forward to many more miles in it over the coming years... Pete
