  1. Sad for you but i change to Goodyear E Grip Perf on my two Octys (year -15/-17) and totaly new cars after that regarding roadnoise. 205/55/16 is the size i use for my cars. Change one of my Octys to a VWsportswagon, but thats another story, and change tyre to Goodyear on VW to. So for me it has been a good experience with Goodyear. So i have 3 cars with very good results on Goodyear. Lucky me.
  2. Have had both Energy Saver and Dunlup Blu Response on our Octys and they are more noisy than Efficientgrip Performance that we change to later. (Blu Response was more noisy than Energy Saver)
  3. Had it since last summer. Same as our other octy. As you mention in earlier post there was a strange reverberation when closing the drivers door. Spread backwards from the roof and back to the lid. My other Octy have a hard solid sound. I think its a problem with the thin plate, soundproofing and poor Suspensionparts. Just waiting for my other Octy to behave the same soon regarding pressure. Hope not. And i hope that Skoda has solved the problem with FL-version. Guess not. We will soon read about it here. Cheers Guitarman001
  4. Got a good deal on my Octy, and picking up a golf sportscombi today. Took a long trip on rough roads and no "pressure" in my ears. More noisy than my Octy but i think its the tires on the car and its ok. As long as the "pressure" is gone im fine with it. Took my Octy home after testdriving the golf and "ouch".. my ears.. its going to feel ok to leave my Octy Estate (with electric lid and still "pressure" in the cabin). Still Got a Octy in the family with no "pressure" in the ears. Btw, have the same stoppers as Gregoir, non adjustable. Guitarman001, wish u good luck with solving you problem.
  5. Probebly right. Low frequency hits that feels like "airpressure" in the cabin and ears. I have a homecinema and the system is pumpin out very low frekvency sometimes barely so you can hear it , just feel it, its not a problem.
  6. Yes. Before change of tires i tried earplugs but its not a solution for a longer time because i use the car every day. Skoda has no solution for this problem and you cant keep a car that you cant use as ....a car. The buyers should not solved Skodas problem, if they not listen choose another brand. Edit: Audi A4 has smaller boot. I need a bigger one. Its the same TSIengines in VW as Skoda and i have never had any larger problems with my VW. I' have been driving for almost 35years and have had a few VW. 2 Fords with enginefaults.
  7. Tnx for tip but i tried different value of pressure in my tires but no different. I dont have any issue with roadnoice after changing to goodyear, its the terrible airpressure in the cabin thats killing my ears.
  8. Hm. My Airpressure is back. Change of tires didnt hold on for many days. Cant keep the crappy car. Going for a Golf SC/Estate. Testdrive a few of my relatives and coworkers cars and total different car despite using same platform. They could also feel the pain driving my car. Also drive one when i was visited a local dealer. Really nice on the road. Even on rough roads. Losing money on my Octy and the Golf is not cheap but thats life. Got a VW passat before octy and no problems. Dont like the interior in Ford and Hyundai/Kia is plastic rubbish with terrible roadnoice. Can use my wifes Octy if i missing driving one. Its a good car if you lucky but terrible if you have bad luck.
  9. Same problem with My Octy-17 TSI estate with electric lid. Pressure in the cabin. Non related to any speed, but on rough surface. Started when i change to my summertires. Thats a bit odd because i didnt hear anything last summer, and nothing using wintertires, now i have change tires, Dunlop blu to goodyear effeciengrip performance and the pressure is gone and noice/rumbling is reduced to a good level. So My problem solved with new tires but i think theres is a problem if you have to change tires once a year. I Dont have this problem in our other Octy that my wife/daughter using but they dont hear what im talking about in my car. No spare wheel and using 16". So a tip that perhaps can help u. Try another brands of tires. sorry for bad english Writing.
