What have you done to your Superb III today?
ashrobinson replied to boydeee's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Fitted new steering wheel New 280 4x4 owner but didn’t have paddles. Ordered a wheel with paddles from a German seller on eBay and fitted today. Now have paddles and no coding required! took about 20 mins. Works perfectly! -

I stuck mine behind the climate control - contrary to the popular opinion I actually struggled to get it all in there! - Had to cut off all plastic tabs and routes wiring loom down then back up. -
VRS CR 18" Tyres best choice?
ashrobinson replied to aidanthomson's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
+1 for eagle F1 asymettric, changed the feel of the car from the two none name tyres the previous owner had put on the front! -
Simple change today, VRS calipers red to black!
ashrobinson replied to MCD's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I also toyed with this idea - Looks good. Although I do kinda like the red on blue - if ive got big callipers i want to shout about it -
LO can be confusing as most things are in a slightly different places compared to word and excel, I find the office suite is much more advanced which is why it costs so much more, however for basic formatting and documents LO will do you just fine. LO developers broke away from OO and generally has more updates and patches available.

If its anything like their business service then they are incredibly helpful. I believe it all relies on the BT infrastructure though so I'd pay for customer support over advertised speeds.

Start Screen>Excel (assuming you have it pinned) or copy excel shortcut to the desktop (which i will admit isn't intuitive) I still don't see the issue people have with windows 8.1 (windows 8 I can kind of understand). I find it just as easy to use as 7, maybe working in IT support I am faced with having to keep myself on the latest OS so i'm a step ahead of our customers, but still I find it very easy to use. As do my two parents who are both well into their 60's and hate computers. Microsoft aren't attempting to reinvent windows 7, why would they? They are trying to move customers to newer versions of software otherwise it will be XP all over again where companies accept slow development of software and stick with what they know (and again I accept that large banks etc cannot always run the latest versions). Get a touch screen laptop and you will see it all makes sense

Thanks for the coding KB, real pleasure to meet you both and what a gorgeous house you have!! Been playing lots with the bluetooth and it turns out that my iphone doesnt fully support RSAP which is why texts and wifi didn't work so mystery solved! Will need to get myself a better phone Hope the decorating hasn't been too painful (unless you haven't started yet?) -

ashrobinson replied to ashrobinson's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Good to know!! Although im not sure if I have voice control on my columbus, press the buttong next to eject doesnt come up with any voice recognition commands like the videos on youtube, could have been retrofitted out of factory i suppose, I can see some mesh behind the map lights where a mic could go though. -

Straightlining roundabouts?
ashrobinson replied to Zeemon's topic in Racing and Advanced Driving Techniques
Living in redditch we have lots of roundabouts (theres even a calendar!!) It's quite a challenge to pull this off on most islands but certainly near the factory indistrial estates I do this when its safe to do so, keeps acceleration up and good fun at the same time, I wouldn't do it if the rozzers were nearby though! -
