  1. Problem just appeared on my MFSW and wondered if anyone had experienced the same or knows of a fix. The Return button and the push of the scroll wheel on the right hand side of the MFSW do not work when headlights(or just sidelights) are switched on. All works fine when headlights off. The MFSW is retro-fit and has been fine for over a year now so don't think it's coding. Thinking could be buttons acting up when lit up, maybe the steering controller, headlight switch or something else? Anyone had the same issue and can point me to where the fault could be. Thanks. P.S. Thinking about it maybe it has happened before but I hadn't noticed a pattern till the shorter days and using headlights more.
  2. When I retro fitted bluetooth I didn't like the foam holder so changed to the metal bracket and black plastic cover. Don't know the individual part numbers, purchased from Skodateile. My Bluetooth module is 7P6 035 730F and fits fine in this bracket. http://www.skodateile.cz/index.php?pg=product∏=44&menu=%C5%A0koda%7COctavia%20II%28A5%29%7CGSM%20HF%20a%20p%C5%99%C3%ADslu%C5%A1enstv%C3%AD
  3. Yes they cover the whole of the rear side door windows
  4. For sale a pair of new, unused, rear side sunshades for the Octavia Mk2 hatchback. Includes 6 fitting clips and CD with fitting instruction video (in Czech). Easy to fit and only takes a couple of minutes. I purchased these from SuperSkoda but do not need them. They are the same fitment and quality as the Skoda ones. £35 with collection preferred from Worcestershire (B60 or WR10), but could arrange UK delivery with ParcelForce for extra £6. *** SOLD ***
  5. Depends which alloys you have. I only know Zenith alloys are VW/Audi paint code L1H7, called 'Oxygen Silver Metallic'. And you need to use a white primer. Hope that helps.
  6. It is a 2012 Yeti if that helps. Fitting is very fiddly, but removing the foglight bulb certainly helps. Fog bulb is just a push fit, no problems. Also found an inspection mirror with led and handle helped a bit, if only to check that bulb is locked in place afterwards. I got one from Maplins for £4.99. http://www.maplin.co.uk/2-led-telescopic-inspection-mirror-671576?c=maplin&utm_source=gcs&utm_medium=gcs_search&utm_campaign=N01NF&utm_content=Automotive+Tools&_$ja=cgid:7690035763|tsid:49900|cid:119050603|lid:44978789563|nw:{network}|crid:26685292123|rnd:{random}|dvc:{device}|adp:{adposition}&gclid=CIDn_P3O5roCFVMRtAodX3QALw What would make it alot easier is some sort of bulb holder that will allow you grip the bulb better. I tried a bit of hosepipe but not grippy enough.
  7. Just to let you know that the 'bulb-out' warning has not appeared on my car. Maybe it is just a matter of time, but it has had several hours of these DRL's running. Don't know if this is any help but when I fitted mine I did them both at the same time. I did not stop after one bulb, switch on and compare. The LED and original bulbs will have different wattages and I thought I would try and keep the computer happy by trying to keep the load on each side 'in balance'. Biamp, if you did one bulb at time, then try fitting the originals back in to get rid of bulb failure. Then try the LED's again. Agree they are very fiddly to do. I found removing the fog bulb gave a bit more hand space. But as I said maybe it is just a matter of time before mine complain. I will keep thread updated with any develpopments.
  8. Cost is not too high when you consider the original bulbs are £20 each  Phoned Skoda dealer and they sell original bulbs at £33 (for one bulb)!
  9. Just fitted a pair of these LED DRL bulbs on the Yeti and they work without external resistors and there is no 'bulb out' message. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/P13W-Xenon-WHITE-29W-HIGH-POWER-CREE-LED-Car-Fog-Bulbs-AUDI-CAMARO-/181105419356?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda&hash=item2a2ab9645c LED bulb longer than the original bulb but fits fine. Early days yet, been for a 45 minute drive, and also left ignition on for 30 minutes and still no bulb warning message. Hopefully they will stay like that and last for years as they seem good quality. Nice to get rid of the yellow DRL's. They look very bright in photo, in reality don't look so blinding, may be due to low quality camera phone. Hope this is of help. P.S. I have no affiliation with the seller whatsoever.
  10. The car was connected to Skoda computer for best part of an hour. Apparently it is a very slow connection. I wouldn't pay for the upgrade software but asked for it to be done free-of-charge when having a service done. Shouldn't cost the dealer anything as once the car is connected they just leave it to do the update, no real labour involved. If I remember correctly the 'Version Info' became available via VCDS customization rather than the Bolero software upgrade. I could be wrong so may be worth checking that out in the VCDS section.
  11. To confirm what software is on your Bolero, press and hold the Setup button for a few seconds, new screen should appear with FM, AM and Version Info. Press Version Info and will show the model number of Bolero and software number. If your Bolero is 1Z0 035 156 F (it is a Blaupunkt) then you can go for software 054 by asking your dealer to do the 'volume curve' upgrade. Not exactly sure what it is but could be something to do with the auto volume linked to car speed. Takes best part of an hour connected to the Skoda dealer computer. A friendly dealer should be able to sort it. If your Bolero shows as 1Z0 035 156 M (it is a Delphi) then I believe they have different software versions and I think 008 is the latest and does not have problem with SD card reading speed. Hope that helps.
  12. Hi, I had a similar situation as yours. Initially had warning light which was cured by replacing the exhaust pressure sensor. This is a known weak part where the 'Made in USA' version is replaced by newer one labelled 'Made in Malyasia'. But the DPF light would not clear permanently until it had a full regen done by Skoda. I found that driving didn't do as good a regen as they can do at a Skoda centre. I would recommend you get yours looked at by dealer (or Skoda Assist) to do full regen. Certainly would be cheaper and first thing to do rather than spending time/money looking at the EGR valve. Anyway that's my guess work. Hope that helps.
