  1. i am intrigued by this and have a spare controller to hand (purchased for the occasion), and i have VCP (but no access to ODIS). is this a doable mod with just VCP?
  2. hey its a well known problem in the 280 4x4 - long thread here basically the evap system needs a new canister and evap valve. i had to get mine done under warranty, so they should be able to sort it t.
  3. i finally got around (6 years later) to putting the spare 19" full size wheel into my car. its a 280 4x4, so the extra skinny wheel, and the big foam insert from the factory. the rear trim piece pops up easily enough, but I have the factory towbar, so left that connected, and worked away with a snips. super easy job to do, trimmmed up the foam insert, and now i have a full size spare. i also have the variable boot floor, and i had no idea what the hell that was actually for, but now, it takes the slight bump out of the floor with the slightly bigger wheel in place, but the factory tray thing that used to sit into the floor now sits on top of it. i think i could drop the foam insert a bit by trimming the bottom of if with a saw, so I will do that piece tonight and see how close to flush i can get it thanks to the OP for the instructions!
  4. the downpipe drops down in diameter to connect to a stock sized pipe from what I've seen sorry - badly written. only one video, with the original (raspy) res delete. with the newer RPM one, no rasp hth
  5. hey here you go - this is with the valves open in sport mode, with the original (non-heimholtz resonated) pipe in place. the rasp is gone with the newer pipe installed this is a scorpion golf r downpipe, witha vsrf resonator delete. only difference with the RPM one is the rasp is gone. also was not a full throttle launch or anything mad, so it does go a bit louder superb exhaust.mp4
  6. take a look at the expansion tank cap. that can leak, and cause a similar problem
  7. hey - the rpm one that fits the superb is here - https://www.rpmperformances.co.uk/product-page/seat-cupra-formentor-2020-anti-drone-mandrel-bent-resonator-delete no clue on the 220 I'm afraid
  8. everything from the res delete back is stock sizing on mine, with original backboxes and exhaust flaps in place. i believe there are a few exhausts that work if slightly extended, with the arteon, octy vrs estate exhaust and some passat one (likley the same as the arteon?) on the list. i was doing the sports cat anyways, so it seemed an easy step to take to add the res delete, and see if it sounded ok (which it does) so i was happy enough.
  9. yep. the downpipe was fine, and when measured up, was a direct fit. when the resonated section was measured up, the golf r res delete didnt fit, but the cupra formentor one was a direct fit. as a note, i orignally had a straight res delete on it, but it was a bit raspy. it got on my nerves, so popped in the RPM one (BCS make one too) with the heimholtz res. i have a full revo stage 2 with the main fuel pump and hpfp also upgraded, but have not changed the turbo (there was not a supported config for the superb when I did the work) , but did go for the overrun map which makes some nice pops & bangs on overrun.
  10. yep. there are options. i have a scorpion sports cat golf r one in mine, with a cupra formentor resonator delete with heimholtz resonator from RPM performance. the cupra formentor seems to have a pretty similar exhaust setup, and all works fine, and passes local emissions etc.
  11. my old superb II combi had an issue where if I was in the car for any lenght of time, my right leg used to get quite numb and then sore when I was out of the car. this was resolved when i saw a thread here about it, and on the back of that, took a pry bar to the metal upside down u-shaped bar that supported the plastic side to the seat with the position buttons on it and moved it about 12-14 mm away from the seat side. I had the same issue on and off in my superb III combi, but in the last while. i've not been driving it much, so had forgotten about it. for various reasons, I ended up driving it a lot recently, and the sore leg came back with a vengance. it felt like somethign was sticking into the underside of my right leg about halfway down the outside of my thigh, and it was sore after about 45 minutes in the car, and stayed sore for quite some time afterwards too. i reckon something was pressuring something in my leg, so i thought back to the old superb and the remedy, so i finally took a look, and lo and behold, while the seat structure is different, there is a metal "bar" there. it is in under the side of the bolster, and pushes up the side bolster of the seat into your leg, pretty much the same as the older model seat did (this pic is the passenger seat for reference). so I reached for the trusty pry bar, and pried that metal piece out about 10-12mm. it gives a lot more space on the side of the seat for the bolster to moved downward, and also does not press up into that exact part of my leg. I dont feel that pressure anymore on the back of my leg when driving the car, which is wonderful! fwiw, this is pretty much the same distance that was available on the side of the superb II seat when the bar was moved out of the way. hope this is of help to anyone getting the same thing
  12. timing chain, accessory belt. the belt has a service interval from what I remember.
  13. i had this a year or two ago. its a hella part, 50 quid off the internets... https://www.autodoc.co.uk/hella/7915638 hella: 6PX 012 684-011 OEM: 5Q0 907 643 C its a two second job to replace it if you have air circulation set to ¨auto¨ this controls whether or not it takes in external air (I believe) so worth replacing
  14. yeah - skoda ireland have dropped all 4x4 configs across the full range and confirmed they wont be offering the 280 superb either.
  15. you can do it without setting the brake into service mode electronically but its a bit of a faff. you have to take the motor off the back of the caliper, then using a female torx socket, manually wind back out the parking brake i am sure this will void all sorts of stuff if you do it this way, but it is the method of last resort if you are really stuck
