Does anyone else have issues with the routes and travel times chosen by the Columbus unit? Example Took my son to a rugby away game at Leeds (he plays for Middlebrough Colts) at the weekend and the route specified to go was 5 miles longer than the return journey it specified. Google Maps showed only the shorter version. Even worse example is entering the destination as Dundee, from Middlesbrough. Even choosing the 3 alternative routes option it does not choose the A1 via Berwick as an option when this is both the shortest and the fastest route. Another bugbear is that it calculates the remaining travel time based on distance remaining divided by the average / max speed of the journey so far. Does not take into account the speed limits of the remaining roads. Does anyone else find this annoying?

My previous car was a Rover 75 Diesel and I paid for the "parking heater" option on it when I bought it from new. It was a catalytic heater that used the diesel fuel to pre-heat the engine and cabin. It was great to get in the car on a frosty morning and not have to scrape the windows. Even better was coming back to a warm car after watching a winter football match. I was disappointed not to be able to specify the same thing for my new Superb. JLP

I ordered my Superb on 30th Sept and was quoted 18 weeks by the dealer. So that makes it 2nd week in February. Ouch! -
