  1. Silver is probably the hardest colour to get a serious wow factor, but like any paintwork it's all in the preparation.

To get the best results it needs a machine polish to correct it and remove all the minor marks and achieve the best reflection B)

  2. I was also looking at the same one. The cheapest I could find it, was £180 delivered. In the end I bought the nilfisk centennial from homebase , it was meant to be £100, but they had 20% off, so I had it for £80. The do the e140 washer, but I think you have to order it in. Hope this is any help,

    George

    Snap! :giggle:

Did exactly the same last weekend, now just got to get the snow foam!

  3. I purchased AutoBrite Magifoam 2 months ago and have been using it weeky since

My car hasn't really been that dirty so i've not cleaned it properly this week and i'm doing 60 miles on the motorway per day it should get fairly dirty

The front bumper and windscreen are already covered in splattered flies

The next use of the foam will be a proper test so i can see what it really is capable of :)

Let us know what you think please?

  4. I would definitely hold out for the model and spec you originally wanted, after all that's why you ordered it and decided to wait in the first place.

I would be pushing for a courtesy car and or get them to hold the trade in price of your current car and a sizeable discount for all the hassle. Take in your original paperwork showing what you originally ordered and get the dealer to sort a deal out or tell them you will cancel the order and buy something else.

You'll be amazed what they can come up with then ;)

  5. No idea if the chemicals in the baby wipes have any effect on paint sorry.

But a definitely safe method is to place a piece of kitchen roll on the splat, mist with water, wait 5 mins which will have softened the poop and it will just wipe off without scratching the paint at all

Been getting dead flies off my crash helmet visor like this for years so it doesn't scratch it! :)

  6. If you are coasting or decelerating with the car in gear then the engine components are being turned over and the engine will not stall so the fuel injection/ecu will cut all fuel to the engine.

If you put the car into neutral and coast or decelerate then the engine would stall as it is not being tuned over at all so the fuel injection/ecu puts enough fuel in to the engine to keep it at idle speed, just as it would if you sitting at traffic lights for example.

Hope this helps explain why a modern car uses no fuel when it is coasting or decelerating in gear.
