Mine sometimes does this for the first couple of mins , ie high idle , noisy , bit jumpy , from cold start ( warm weather ? ) Try turning the engine off for about 10 secs , seems to cure it ! (obviously before driving off )

Hi , I have been part of a discussion on the Superb page , but just wondering if any Octavia owners have experienced this squeal (sounds like an old fashioned kettle whistle) Long story short ... water pump was changed under warranty , squeal returns a few months later , garage (through advice of Skoda ) adds some kind of additive to coolant ... squeal dissapears for a couple of years ..... however , its back worse / more consistant this year Never does it in the winter , seems only to be when the ambient temp rises / also only on idle Any ideas ?
