  1. If there is no need to make frequent top up and the pressure builds up i think should be ok
  2. Its not cooling or the fan does not switch on?
  3. Not sure could it be the small micro switch within the lock who tells if doors are closed or not. Does the interior light stay off?
  4. Should be a clutch pulley as it needed a special tool. Anyway few years ago it siezed and broke the tensioner. Hope it will last few years more. The run out is only slight for now.
  5. Try to shake all cable connections, also check if sound is lost when opening/closing the doors.
  6. Any point to bleed the system first or check if slave is leaking?
  7. Aux belt tensioner is the one jiggling on my SDI, crank pulley seems at peace
  8. Glad to hear all went well, timing chain too
  9. Yes she was, pitty she ended like that 😜
  10. Any news for the impatient audience 😀
  11. Just a thought, does your car have low beam lights switched automatically ON upon turning the key in the ignition? I mean with the light switch still on Zero position.
  12. Reminds me of my issue with door lock which needed cleaning of the electromotor within the lock. Also you could have damaged insulation of wires within the door gaiter
  13. Be sure to check the release bearing guide-bush and oil seal while you are at it.
  14. You are welcome although I have very little experience to be helpful. But could it be that on your engine, low clutch biting position is normal? On my SDI it is more or less the same at 150000km as was on 60000km, very high. Good idea to check with a camera either trough the inspection hole or by removing the starter?
  15. When slave cylinder was removed, was there any free play when pushing the fork or was it firm? I wonder if there is free play when the clutch is new and if free play dissapears when clutch is worn and pressure plate fins come out toward the gearbox.
  16. There should be a sticker in the engine bay stating which gas is in the system
  17. check here
  18. I had few broken wires and was inserting pieces of wire between the cut ends. Not a pretty sight. Would be better to order the complete wire loom. Some people use this.
  19. Sorry about that, i imagined you would insert a washer below the body of the slave cylinder. Yes, lenghtening the actuator should bring the biting point to a higher position. If it is easy, check if for different gearboxes there are different lenght slave cylinders.
  20. I might be wrong but when i think of it, if you add few mm below the slave cylinder, the piston will protrude little more from the housing until it touches the fork, but the piston travel should not change when pushing the pedal. You could get shorter maximum piston travel so that the clutch doesn't disengage when pedal pushed in.
  21. I had problems with 3 door lock. Could not figure our what was wrong with them as they worked intermittently. First 2 I replaced from ebay. On the third one i ended cleaning the small EM within the lock and it worked ever since. It is necessary to clean the collector where the brushes slide on. Specially the small gap which separate the collector poles.
  22. Isn't air inlet under vacuum?
  23. Maybe makes no sense but how about cleanliness of the throttle body
