  1. Hi mine did this last week glow plug light came on and no power i switched it off and the light went off but came back on after a sort while it did this a few times so when i got home i put my reader on and it came up with p0403 code (i think that was the code ) it turned out to be the EGR valve sticking cost £600 to supply and fit (was advised not to use after market ) this sorted it car running like new again 10 plate with 100000 on it with cffb engine
  2. hi I changed my dsg thermostat but it did not solve the problem, it was the engine thermostat which is not as easy to do, the dsg is easy 10 mins at the most, I would start with the dsg but if that does not do the trick check the engine thermostat
  3. hi the part is a adapter cable loom condenser,[ that's what the parts manual says?] part number 3t005570 and 3t005570b one is for right side one for left side they are located behind the plastic trim on either side of the rear window located near the peg that holds the parcel shelf . The part i replaced was burnt out and was not allowing any power though it the right side looks slightly different but was ok on mine
  4. hi I got a aftermarket grill from superskoda .com I put some pics on gallery if you want to have a look I think it looks ok ?
  5. my faulty part was on the left hand side of the car looking at it from the rear you have got connections on both sides my right hand side was ok. the light in the car all worked and I was checking for broken wires when I found my problem
  6. Hi I've got a 60 plate 140 cr with a six speed dsg box and had it mapped about six month's ago it's made a big difference like c21vhpd as said I can agree with him on all aspects. I travel 12 mile to work and if I stick to the speed limits and don't accelerate to quick I can get 60mpg over the last 3000 miles of work ,shopping and general running I am getting 51 mpg which I think is good for a car of this size , I don't know what power it's running but I had the gearbox oil and filter changed last week and the technician could tell straight away hope this help's
  7. the wire was still live when the switch was pressed no fuse was blown I thought I was going to find a broken cable was not expecting to find this. went to dealers and ordered two new parts one for each side although I have not checked the right side yet but I will replace both to be safe they cost £32 for both so not to bad, just got to wait for them as one is on back order.
  8. hi first time I've posted so don't know if I am doing it right but he goes my rear heated window as not worked since I got the car so I thought I would have a look today. I have found that what looks like a resistor has burnt out its situated behind the plastic cover on the side of the rear hatch I have not check the right side yet this was on the left side just wondered if any one else had come across this problem and wondered if there was any problem getting parts, ill try and attach some pictures ?
