  1. If you open the tailgate you'll see how the shelf locates (I'm sure you've done this) and it's a matter of giving it thump with the flat of the hand each side and the shelf will detach (not forgetting the strings). Refitting, you put the rearmost cutouts onto the location lugs first, then the forward cutouts otherwise it's very difficult to fit. Hope that makes sense.
  2. Same here, the wife's Karoq has a solid shelf too.

Having monitored it over a few days your diagnosis is spot on, it's the cornering light and is activated when pulling onto the driveway at home. Thanks for the info. 👍
  4. I had a similar issue with my 2013 Fabia Monte Carlo TDi. The radio reception was virtually nonexistent with the pattern part screen so I ended up badgering my insurance company to authorise a genuine part. The radio worked perfectly once the genuine screen was fitted. 👍

The switch is most definitely in the 'auto' position. 👍

No, I'm not sure, it was purely an assumption. However, I haven't stood and watched how long it takes to go out, if it even does. I think that'll be my next move. Thanks for the reply. 👍

Because that defeats the object of Auto Lights if you have to keep using the switch. It simply hides the problem.

Good point, I'll check it out. Thanks.

Recently, the wife's '23 Sportline Karoq has recently started doing a random thing with the lights. The lights switch is always left selected to 'Auto', but sometimes (not always) when locking the car and the headlamps have gone out after their allotted time, the passenger side light (parking light?) stays on. The only way to turn it off is to start the engine again, select the lights to 'off', back to 'auto', and then lock the car again. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this please?
  10. Told you I was thick! 🙄
  11. I'm being a bit thick as I don't get the typo. 🤷‍♂️ Surely last month was the best time as it was 0% finance, and 25% off a service plan?

We had an extended test drive in a Sportline prior to ordering one and whilst the overall ride was very good over the bumps, the road noise from the tyres was quite intrusive. From memory I think the test car was wearing Bridgestone rubber, but other makes may be better of course, or even worse. Anyway, I won't fret as it's the missus's car.
  13. The Missus has a Karoq on order and also isn't keen on the cheese graters so I've been tasked with finding an alternative. Centre caps and bolt covers seem the easiest solution, but are the centre caps 50mm on the 19" wheels like on the Octavia?
