I have had my car 6 days and its now making this noise (sorry not easy to capture when driving). Very upset as its an expensive car and my Octavia didn't make any noises! Does anyone have any ideas? I have tapped everywhere and can not replicate. Kodiaq 4.M4V

No the temp is fine and not getting up to temp too quickly. They have also had it plugged in and nothing. So asking the top dogs at Skoda if they have any ideas. I bet they won’t be able to fix it knowing my luck haha

Update: car still in at Skoda. Water pump checked and all okay. The fan keeps turning on and they can’t seem to find out why ….. they have emailed their “gurus” to see if there is any known issues. I have seen a few things on here to say the wiring loom can sometimes be damaged going to the fan but they haven’t mentioned that …… so we shall see.

Well just an update. The car is going into Skoda on Wednesday as I am not mechanically savvy. I have noticed that the fan is now coming on when you start the car and the garage seemed to think that could be linked with the water pump but could just be a fuse. Will keep you updated

I will share the link to the videos. Vpower fuel used Spark plugs unknown as I have had the car 3 months. Hi folks, yet another noise related topic. I have started to notice there is a knocking noice coming from the engine. It’s hard to pick up but I have two videos attached. Engine runs fine and no lights. If it’s normal then all good but just wanted to check. It’s the faint thud thud in the background 👍 IMG_1155.MOV IMG_1157.MOV

Rattle found. Rear door latch faulty and replaced. Nice and quiet now! Thanks for all your help

Will take some pictures of the latch tomorrow but it does look like factory but you can buy them cheap on eBay.

You both could be right. It could be the latch and the boot is not full closing against the seal. Maybe these panel gaps are not that big (maybe they are) but you can see down into the gap.

I have noticed tonight that I have a large panel gab between the boot and where the rear lights are on both sides. Looked at other cars online and they don’t have it (pictures of another car but the location I am looking at). Adjusted the rubber things and makes no difference. Might be that the boot is not sitting right. My panel gab is huge compared to the ones in the pictures

I am on my own mate so no chance of that. I stuck a camera under the car when driving and no noise. Doesn’t make the sound on smooth roads. It sounds like the latch on the hatch but can’t seem to replicate it. I don’t think it’s suspension as it sounds like it’s in the car but will try a few things tonight

Hi mate, heat shield is fine, back seats are fine so I am guessing it’s the hatch
