Well said (Matt Pez), I'm also waiting delivery of a 1.2 SE and feel no shame what so ever. My choice was based on budget but I know I'm getting far more for my money with the Octavia over all the other models I looked at. No matter what car you buy there is always a better model, so my philosophy is just get the best you can for what you can afford, I think I've done this with the 1.2 SE.

Congrats....yeah still waiting to see my first Octavia on the road, thought i'd seen one on Friday but it turned out to be a Rapid when it passed me. Enjoy!!

I think a new Porsche still only comes with 2 years warranty and there is a compulsory purchase of the 3rd year. If you use the configurator on their website and pick a base model you see your options pice jump up by the value of the 3rd year warranty.

Congrats...car looks great. Mine will be late July so a bit of a wait yet. Looks good in the race blue, I went for silver in the end but I was also considering Denim Blue and Race Blue. The only reason I discounted the Race Blue is because I currently have a Toyota in Island Blue which is pretty much the same colour, so fancied a change. I like the Denim Blue and changed my mind a few times between that and Silver before I eventually made my mind up. Enjoy the new ride!

Hi, Just had an email from my dealer saying my car is in build week 30. Is there an average time to delivery once the car goes into build?

Budget played a big part in my decision to go with the SE and the 1.2. I would have liked an Elegance but the dealer gave me a good discount on the car so I don't think he would have done an Elegance at the same price. I do think some of the options I added should be standard on a mid-range model, such as MFSW and Front Armrest. Most people will add these to an SE so that's quite a lot of extra cash for someone! The Rear LEDs are not really needed but I thought they'd make the car stand out a little from the crowd and not too bad a price being the same as a Front Armrest.

Hi All, Just ordered my first Skoda, Octavia Mk3 1.2 SE Manual with; - 17" Denom's - Metallic Silver - Front & Rear Armrest - Multifunction Sterring Wheel - LED Rear Lights Dealer says 8-10 weeks delivery, so a bit of a wait but looking forward to it already. I was reading this forum before I ordered the car and got some very useful information which I used when ordering, so, thanks all. Update you along the way.
