  1. thx Bossfox. i watched some NCAP crash test videos of Rapid and it seems to confirm what you say (the camera that looks down on the car is the ideal pov)
  2. one question for the decorative bars (if this refers to the interior as shown on the pics above): where is the passenger airbag located? because where the decorative bar will be, my Rapid writes "Airbag" but in drawings, i see it deploys from the upper part of the dash . if retroffited (really looking forward to this part), would it interfere with the passenger airbag on "older" Rapid versions?
  3. i can't tell for the UK market, but in Greece the dealers tend to rip you off and never have something on stock. my guess is they would be much more expensive than the 30euro they cost from Skoda (judging by the prices they give for the cargo net-which they gave me as a present) i m with you Bossfox, cheap and easy solution for protection and also adding some points on the looks imho.
  4. yesterday, i put on the interior door sills (from superskoda), mostly for protection from shoes. it's a nice and practical addition. highly recomended. also ordered the footrest
  5. At superskoda, the fabia I ones have symmetrical side pins, while the rapid ones have offset side pins. Not sure on the fabia II though..

  7. i just ordered 2 pairs from ebay, hoping that i bought the right ones looking forward to receiving them and getting rid of that orange look asap (both front and rear)
  8. i took a quick look at the bulbs and they are single contact and offset pins, so they must be BAU15S PY21W
  9. the 1.2 tsi is definetely the 8valves one. will be very dissapointed if they fit the new 16valve 1.2 tsi in the Rapid anytime soon. i will kinda feel like i got fooled....
  10. today i got my 1.2 tsi 105 hp Elegance from the dealership. drove it to the garage, turned on the drl as per the instructions on this forum, and later in the afternoon i went to fit my new wheels (7X16, ET35, Momo thunder black) also received spoiler V1 and door sills from Superskoda and will be fitting them, along with some colour vinyl in the next weeks. i am also trying to find the exact type of the turn signal bulbs, so as to replace them with chrome amber ones. unfortunately, my Rapid doesn' t have controls for the rear windows... hope they can be retrofitted.
  11. Just drove home my 1.2 tsi 105hp Rapid Elegance ! i had to rush back to work, so no much time to enjoy it. (just turned on the drl ) a quick question: does anybody know what type are the turn lamps ? thx in advance
  12. does the first addition (xenon) mean that there will be headlights with projectro lenses as well?

  16. these OZ looks real nice! what ET are these? i wanted to go with 17X7, but since it will be a family car, it would be too much for me, so i stayed with 16X7, to have some comfort as well. ET 35 so the car get's almost 2 cm wider, which will probably add some points (factory wheels ET45 make the car look a bit narrow IMHO)
  17. i ordered the V1 spoiler (the one with the little wings on the top) and also ordered new rims (same size 16X7 but i wanted other color and design and lower offset) i will have my Rapid delivered early next week
  18. yeap, i think the group plan is that Skoda and Seat will always lag VW and Audi. and it makes sense from a marketing point of view.

I agree with you. maybe on the other hand, the project is to enhance the Skoda image and awareness by launching a brand identity expressed through the front end. when they believe that they have accomplished that, then they can move towards diversification of the cars. i don't think that it is random that VW and Audi are quitting this and Seat-Skoda are adopting this at the same time.
  20. thx for the tip j400uk. i can find locally a slightly used Amundsen for 400 euros, which is a bit expensive IMHO. an Amundsen @ 200-250 pounds, sounds like a good deal. unfortunately on ebay prices start from 300 pounds at this moment
  21. in the elegance trim in Greece, the car has a 2 DIN radio (NOT the Amundsen infotainment). i have been searching around to place an aftermarket infotainment and i have ended up in either Dynavin VW-? or LM 8904 http://dynavin.gr/images/d99%20dvn-vw.jpg http://www.studiosound.gr/images/400-VW%20LM%208904.jpg has anyone installed one of these two or something else? any input would be appreciated
