It is a hatch. elegance hatch, 1.4 TSI with some extras: Bi-Xenon headlights with AFS, Boot net, Canton sound system (10 speakers, digital equaliser, subwoofer), Cornering front fog lights with black surrounds, Electric sunroof (PAD), Front assist incl. city automatic emergency braking, without ACC, Lane assistant, Parking assistant (parallel, bay and manouvering out of a line of cars), Service Plan and PermaShine treatment. The sunroof is not exactly panoramic, but not standard size either. It is something in between, beeing somehow larger than standard. I will get more pics of it on Friday after collection.

For a few years my commute was 43 miles each way, I was doing about 75 minutes. Then, for another year or so 23 miles each way (about 35 minutes), and now, since February is only 11 miles each way. It takes half an hour (urban traffic most of it). I enjoy it though.

Finally, the car arrived at dealer today, before lunch. I haven't seen it yet, being at work all day long. I'll be there tomorrow morning.

That is at least outrageous. Have they given you any reasons why is that? What exactly have you ordered? Are there some extra specs involved? They might cause some delays.

All I want is to be kept informed of the status of the car, and if there are delays, to be told about the reasons and to be given real honest dates and times for everything. It is one thing to be confirmed for delivery in July and then delayed without explanation and another thing to be told from start that is going to be a delay, why and when you will get the car.

Today they contacted me and told me that the car will probably arrive in three weeks. this is week 31, so the car will be here in week 34 (hopefully). Knowing that the car was built in week 27, how can it arrive in 7 weeks? How long usually takes for the car to reach the dealer after being built?

Absolutely gutted!!! It turned out that the dealer lied to me. Now he's nowhere to be found and SKODA UK just told me that car is still in Emden waiting to be shipped, no one knows when and where.

k stands for 1000. The Kilometer is Km (1.62 Km = 1 mile) 6000 Km = 3728 mi 6000k = 6000000, but they could be in theory either Km or mi.

What I managed to find out is that there are two main ports for VAG group, Grimsby and Sheerness. Could be more ports but I don't know about.

My car was at Emden on Monday 22nd or before, the only car carrier ship from Emden to Sheerness, this week so far was UECC Autorunner, left Emden on 23/07/2013, expected to arrive at Sheerness on 24/07/13 - today (16:23 local time). Unfortunately I can't find out for sure if my car is on board.
