The arches needed a bit of filing down and don't fit great but it didn't matter to me as I screwed them on and used sealant to fill the gap were they meet the wheel arch as it was just the look I was after and wasn't overly bothered about them looking rough as the rest of the car is rough to be honest haha and dependant on how you fit them determines how much work is involved,I cut about 3" of the front arch lip off and bent up the rear arch lip for clearance

Thanks for the comments guys,it's appreciated And Trevor yes the vents are just fibreglass reps of focus Rs vents from ebay And Dave the wheel arches are fibreglass jdm style jobbies off ebay again.

Finished the wrc wannabe stickers today

I'll check out the fabia pip Right then,here's my usual purge of pics,unfortunately in the same location as the car is still off the road and can't take it to a better location :( Stickers are finished now so this is the finished article Only remaining sticker which was overlooked was the Monte Carlo number box for the rear of the roof but I'll pop that on next week So now I'm at the point where I'm not sure what to do with it,part of me wants to keep it and just leave it parked up in case I ever fancy doing something with it but when I get the replacement car I'm not sure I'll ever want to do anything with it as I'll be more interested in the new car but we'll see.

Hi there, Just wondered if anyone who eats kellogs cereal has any promotion codes they don't need? Basically I have three codes to get a spoon already which is fine but I have one code towards a second spoon and now the shops have stopped stocking the spoon offer boxes and i can't get a spoon for my daughter and not get my son one so wondered if anyone has codes they don't need as it would be appreciated Cheers

Still not completed stickers yet as the wife's been a bit busy but got a few extra ones done and finally got the drivers wheel arch/door strip painted Hopefully get the last few remaining stickers done by next weekend and get it finished and take some pics then I can decide what to do with it

Cheers guys And I hear it turns up on Facebook from time to time in one of it's many guises from friends who use it and it's good to know it gets as much love as it does hate And it will soon become no use to me so if someone wants to buy it and do something with it then that could happen or if someone wants it to break it then that's fine too,but if no takers I will break it myself but would rather just let it go and not have any hassle but we'll see what happens

Got a few stickers made by the wife this week and hopefully I'll get the rest made next week if all goes to plan. Here's the stage its at now The driver names for drivers side and the big skoda auto for the bonnet got left out in the rain and got ruined so need re doing and still need to paint the green strip on drivers front wheel arch and door but every weekend it seems to rain lol

Sorry to hear it's come to the end of the road for you and the octy Paul. Hope you sell everything quickly and find the right replacement It can be frustrating finding a replacement as I have had the money waiting to buy my next car for a couple of months but finding one in the right colour/spec is a nightmare lol

It will get stickers and then it will be gone,not bothered by it anymore.

Got a few basic stickers done by the wife as she was doing some stuff today and was using white so I got a few.

Not sure on availability anymore as they used to be on super skoda but no longer there,they were made by autostyl I believe so try googling and see if it brings any results but if not they could be discontinued.

Haha,cheers Luke I'm sure your sensible daily driver won't stay that way for long and there's not much to see but if you want to come and look then by all means you can do.

Only a small update as the wife has been a bit busy at work and not had time to do any stickers for me yet,so all I've done is fitted white rectangles to the doors and fitted the red border for the door number Fitted the grey strip on the side behind the skoda logo And a tow arrow Nothing to do now until the sponsor stickers are done so hopefully the next update will have a bit more detail.

Cutting them into bumper strips is ok but behind them is the metal plate for the bumper mounting so you need to cut a hole through the bracket etc to run wire up to headlight loom.

Cheers but as you say it's not ideal been outside with a tarpaulin attatched to the car with small dent puller suction cups and the other end nailed to top of the fence and a heat gun to speed up the drying process lol,it's never going to be perfect and as long as it looks something like I'll be happy And it's not a bad colour match to be honest.

Cheers guys I'm hoping to get it finished soon so I can see how it looks but I doubt It will still be around when vw festivals on I'm sorry to say :( I have the money sat in the bank waiting for the right car/spec to turn up so when it does I'll go and buy it and I'll have no interest in the octy anymore and I'll end up selling/breaking it to pay for some wheels,coilovers for the replacement car It's been a great car and served me well,I've really enjoyed taking it through the different phases over the years but soon the time will come when it has to go and it will be a sad day when I have to see it go but I don't have the space to store it and have no use for it to be honest.
