Well, managed to get through the night without the alarm going off, I duck taped over all the internal sensors which appears to have worked until we can get back to the dealer.

Not sure about this!!!! :think:

Hi all thanks for the replies. LGM, as I was reading your reply when the alarm went off again, so it will be going back on Monday. SK4GW, I tried this at 3.00am this morning, this worked until about 5 mins ago. The Plumber, Yes it will be going back on Monday. Thanks for replying. :sun:

Our Monte is now 4weeks old and spends its nights under a car port. The alarm has now gone off 3 times, the last one at of.00.35 this morning. Went down well with the neighbours?! On checking the car, all was well, no one was about, no sign of any cat paw prints on the bonnet. All our past cars have been kept under the car port with no problem. Any ideas??

I was able to return to the dealer today. They looked at all four wheels and agreed that the inner wheel had not been fully painted. Before they comment any further they needed to see if this was a problem with any other Monte. After looking at a Monte in the show room and one that had just arrived, the wheels on these cars were worst than mine. I also looked at a Fabia Reaction, which also has black alloys and this was the same. I was told that as this appeared to be the way the wheels are painted by Skoda, they could not do anything under warranty as this was how Skoda finishes the wheels. :( Anyone else been given the same answer??

2 weeks in and very please, apart from the wheels. :wonder: Very impressed with the 1.2 TSI engine, still running in (Old school). Having driven diesels for the last 10 years, I cannot get over how well this car pulls from low rev’s. It’s the wife car and she loves it to bits and I think the only time I will now get to drive it is when I have washed it. This car will be kept clean

Had our Monte Tech now for 2 weeks, (New) after reading the above I checked the wheels before we picked the car up and they looked OK. I have today cleaned the wheels for the first time. Using a small sponge to clean the inside of the rim the black paint came away. It looks like the inside of the wheel is only covered in overspray and on all 4 wheels you can see the grey alloy below. :| I have reported this to the dealer and will take in next week. Very poor .

Hi all, long time VW owner, back to Skoda for a second time, the first time was a Felicia as a second car. Now waiting to take delivery of a Fabia Monte Carlo Tech, cannot come soon enough. Have noticed some nice looking Skoda’s at the GTI inter over the last few years. Will be taking mine next year.
