£249 all in with a Skoda Dealer......
-
Go for the GFB DV+ or just the "D" revision OEM
-
ah that makes sense, thanks

why would Factory HIDs affect a RARB? are there sensors or something that would be knocked out of place?

I have spoken to Clive at CN tuning and he is only round the corner from me really, the only thing that put me off was the £499 price tag but he did mention a 10% discount for forum members and as I mentioned it makes sense to pay a bit more for the peace of mind thing so I will probably be speaking to Clive very soon!
-
I think you are probably right Rob, it's worth paying a bit extra for peace of mind and experience

hi all,
Have any of you heard of Oxford Remapping? I have been in touch with them recently regarding my VRS (petrol) and they seem very knowledgeable and also claim to write custom software specific to your car (not sure if this is true) they said they can tailor a map to how you want it.....and they are £150 cheaper than Shark maps plus only 15 mins from where I live I have read a few reviews but the ones on their own website so not an independent review.
Anyone had any experience or heard of them?
thanks

GSF has always been my port of call for these...don't buy the cheap ones as they will fail

more likely to be thermostat than temp sensor...have you had any running issues?
-
No, the non mp3 stream does not have a spare connector, I think you will have to get a connects 2 device that replaces the CD changer
-
It seems to have a good guide on that link you just sent so I will follow that and hope for the best!! Thanks again for your advice
-
Cheers mate it looks pretty simples actually....will give it a go!!
-
That's good to hear! Thanks for looking mate...yes I have a CD changer in the boot but from what I understand tje stream mp3 hu has a spare connection in the back for aux input
-
This the one I think is most likely to fit
-
No, the arm rest/jumbo box was an option at the factory and the tightwad who brought my car new never got it fitted I just want a simple 3.5mm jack to plug onto my phone or my iPod so will probably go for one from flea bay but I am just not sure about which connector is correct and was hoping someone would have done this before
-
Hi Adam
No, no armrest in my car :/ so the cable I need plugs into the back of the HU and then has a 3.5mm jack at the end
-
Hi all...can anyone recommend just a simple plug and play cable for the stream mp3 head unit? There a few on eBay starting from £7 but have differing connectors, my car is a 56 plate if that makes any difference? Also am not looking for track listing or charging just mp3 playback
Thanks

the noise is back! it is intermittent and seems to happen only when the car is cold....I am convinced it is spring related..
-
Cheers guys....I have tried the reversing trick....have not heard the noise again but will see what happens tomorrow

hello all....I have a horrible noise coming from the rear of my car, it is a creaking/screeching/scratching type noise..I have ruled out something stuck in the discs and cant see anything obvious (have not had car on ramps to really get involved) I am hoping someone can shed some light or has had experience of this before? I am guessing spring related?
thanks

hi all
I am looking to remap my TFSI in a couple of weeks and am aware that Shark are highly rated and I personally also rate R-Tech but does anyone know of a decent place in the Reading/Berks area that I could speak to as both Shark and R-Tech are miles away....I have heard of Clive at CN Tuning but at over £400 it is too expensive for me...any ideas?
Thanks,
Russ
