I'd stick a second hand head on. rebuilding it (in my eyes at least) will cost a lot more especially if the guides are cracked. second hand head will be around £150?

Think we should start a cambelt failed club. you putting a new engine in or just sticking a head on it?

Good job both of you. who's mapping it for you?? Do you think its worth re-welding the outlet pipe to make it easier and not as close to the driveshaft?

Well recently ive been thinking of selling the fabia. After the cambelt, two wheel bearings, punctures caused by potholesI was falling out of love with it very quickly. Looking at cars I couldn't really find anything that really floated my boat for not alot of money. So now I've decided I'll spend a bit on the fabia and hopefully get some trackdays out of it. John mapped mine to run just the MAP as the MAF was knackered! runs perfectly without the MAF

I'm having the same problem as this. vagcom'd my compressor and its at 65% compression when on, 0 when off, alternates between 4.8-5 refrigeration and both fans, stage 1 & 2 off.

Do you still have the front passenger hub? If so how much posted?

I'm sure this is a fairly easy fix (i hope). When in first gear it will only boost to 2k rpms. When you get to this point it feels as thought you have hit a brick wall, change into second no hesitation what so ever nor is there hesitation in any other gear. The only thing i can really think of is the cam positing sensor? Has anyone else had this problem?? Ben

If you are planning to go bigger power then i'd say yes but just a remap will be fine on the standard intercooler

Just checked you build Jars, looks good! so the kit doesn't come with a pipe to replace the original hard pipe?

I've been looking at this cooler and trying to work out what else is needed? i take it the map sensor fits in it ok??

There is a long way to go with it netcode, random frame drops (could just be me.) Etc etc but hopefully with it being early access it can only get better.
