    Turns out that if you add a table into a SELECT but down add the join, it gives you seriously impressive run times... or in my case, it just doesn't return... EVER!

      I assume u only have access via BO then.

      Then u stuffed with the inflexibility of the BO front end :-(

      Unless u know the friendly DBA (cough)(cough) who can give u direct access ;-)

      I have TOAD but the only schema I have create access on I don't and can't have a remote DB link to the data I need... sucks big style... oh well, I'll just keep going with the massively complex code :D I like a challenge.
