£60 is around 44 litres of diesel so not a full tank (50 litres)
I've only filled it up twice but can't ever get more than £60 of diesel in?!
-
Non vRS DSG and I can get about 500 to 550 at a push on a long motorway cruise.
Round town driving, more like 450.
What engine do you have in yours Andy?
-
I was a bit disappointed with the smaller tank ok my Octavia 3! Approx £60 to fill up. Just means more stops at the garage! :-(
My old Passat is about £95 to fill up and would do about 700 miles!
-
I'm a tad worried I'm giving it too many beans! I struggle to get 430 from a tank but that is a mixture of town/short journeys and a bit of motorway commute.
476 sounds good Robfab. Is that being gentle most of the time?

Hi fellow VRS Octy 3 VRS drivers.
Just wondered how many miles you were all getting out of a full tank of diesel (approx £60).
Mine is a DSG TDI estate.
-
I've tried it, thought it was good, however having it switched on and that annoying icon being present on the dash bugged me so I switched it off!
-
I've noticed the same on mine too!

Just picked up my new black Monte Carlo Tech tonight, it didn't have cruise control or mats as standard (managed to get a set of mats included in the deal!!) but did have the MDI iPod cable in the top glove box as skoda 1982 said.
Mine also has the SD slot and aux input on my Amundsen sat nav although it doesn't have any Amundsen branding on the front of it but I assume its a "+" as it looks the same as pictures in the post above.
Cheers for the reply all.
No we looked at a polo, and that had cruise (our mistake!) Our's hasn't got the MDI lead in the glove box (either one), nor mats!!!
The Amundsen we have does have the AUX input on the front like the one pictured above (we didn't notice it!!!).
So far so good, the mrs loves it. It's the 1.2 petrol (105) and has much more grunt than i thought it had!!!
-
Leads for the MDI have a look in the top glove box. If not there ask dealer for it. As for AUX input no you don't get one with satnav as you can use an SD card for music. No cruise on monte tech or aux
Thank you for your reply

Hi,
We've just picked ours up (black tech MC).
Can I ask, should it have the aux input? Do they come with mats as standArd? And also do they come with cruise control (ours hasn't)!! and the leads for the MDI? I'm sure when we looked at the one in the showroom it had cruise and aux as standard on the black tech MC?!

I've just got the VRS TDI DSG and would highly recommend it! I too am a fellow M25 cruiser/Parker and so far it's been great!
Certainly takes a little bit of getting used to! Sometimes when you first engage a gear it takes that split second for it to do anything, however you soon get used to it.
On a positive note the paddle shift it fantastic, the gear change is so quick and you can drive it pretty enthusiastically, but can also cruise along nice and smooth!
If your in the Northamptonshire area you're welcome to take mine out for a drive.
Cheers,
Mozz

Very very nice!!!!!
-
just de-badged the back,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,mice and smooth easy to clean
also had the rear windows tinted for glare and privacy and must say he as done a great job
Can you put up a pic or two please?
I too didn't order sunset glass, so want to get mine done like you, as well as remove the Skoda and Octavia badge on the tailgate!
-
Very nice colour!!!
-
Glad you are happy, can't wait for mine now! :-)
Yes please, would be interesting to see what sort of real world MPG you achieve :-)
Thanks
I too have the same in DSG (without some of the toys you've got :-( ) love it btw!!
I was hitting 54mpg on the motorway sitting at 70 with cruise on. It seems pretty good on fuel so far, especially for an auto. We have a Freelander 2 TD4 auto and that is horrendous on fuel (low 20's around town)!

Just got to have my say on the whole 'running in' debate here as it is very simple indeed.
The engines are run in at the factory prior to installation in your car. There is no need to be cautious with your new cars. The engines are prepared and ready to go.
Oh, and excuse my manners, the car looks great! Congratulations! And the lights at night are great, I love them too.
Thanks! I think the lights look fantastic at night too! Went to Tesco last night and on locking/unlocking a few people were looking at it in the car park! ????
This is my own car now (have had company cars for years) so naturally I am taking it very easy and not over revving etc...!
-
He made it clear it was the passenger taking the picture of MPG.
Thank you for noticing PekoSI!! ????
-
How come your mirror down-lights are not working on that picture (if it was taken after unlocking the car?)?
I have no idea at all about these!! Anyone else know? Is it a setting somewhere?
-
The one they had in the showroom when we were looking had esp!Not too bothered about the DAB, but we are about to order one and the ESP is more important to us.
I have seen two Tech Blacks today. One had ESP and the other didn't!
Seems like a bit of a lottery if you get it or not.
Does Skoda not have an online VIN checker so you can see your car from build? Ford has a website where you can do this and it shows you every single feature on the car, and where it is in the build and delivery process.
-
Ordered a black one off their eBay store, cheers for the heads up!
Do you have a pic of the black one installed? Think I'm going to go for one of them too! Look really good!
-
Nothing wrong with 70mph in a new car. It's barely breaking a sweat. Besides, engines are run in on benches in the factory these days.
To be honest, it didn't feel at all like I was pushing it in any way shape or form, especially on a motorway journey. I've done the same with the last 3 cars I've had (all VAG) and never had a problem.
Surprisingly the dealers didn't mention anything about running it in at all, unless it just goes without saying!?
-
70mph in a new car? What about running her in?!
Eeeeek! I have been trying to be extra careful with her! Point taken though! Thanks :-)
-
PS - Wish I had gone for the sunset glass and the black pack, but ho hum! I only realized about these after seeing others on here!!!
Miles per tank VRS
in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)

Ok I don't feel as bad as I first thought! Lol! So that's 313 miles to a tank? I know you've done 50 on the dyno.
