  1. Hi. Having the same issue, what part do I need to get and where do I get it from?
  2. Ah, the suggested posts that come up are very handy, just seen this.
  3. Hi all, 2013 Estate 2.0d (168hp) DSG, 138k on the clock, has it since new. For the last few months my temp gauge has been very erratic, not going from cold to 90 in one go, often going up and down, even hovering at about 75, regardless of whether or not the car is travelling fast or slowly. I had a leaky radiator so didn’t notice originally, had that replaced and thought that would solve it, but no luck. My local (not specialist) garage (no error codes btw) then suggested replacing the water pump (and cam belt (?) which was fine as she is coming up to her 10 year service), which didn’t solve it. We then replaced the thermostat. Still not solved. Any ideas? Like I said, not getting any error codes. Would love to get this fixed as have had the car since new and want to keep it till the wheels fall off, have never had a better all round useful and comfortable vehicle. TIA
  4. No, both my car and the ‘donor’ car are 2 litre diesels. thank you!
  5. Sorry details are vague as the winter wheels are in Germany
  6. Hi folks, have a 2013 Superb on 18” wheels. My dad has just upgraded his 2016 to a Kodiac and has a set of winter tyres on steelies from his Superb left over. They are 16” and he used them on his Superb which was running 17” in the summer. Apparently they won’t fit on his Kodiac so he’s offered them to me, but will they fit my car (normally running 18”)? Assume brake clearance is a potential issue? TIA
  7. Can I mix and match? Got Contisport 2s on 18s and my fronts are gone.. rears are still good. ShallI put Contisport 5s on the front or shall I go with something else?
  8. Just had my first service at 18k miles and been told that my fronts have about 2mm tread left. Rears have about 3mm. Any recommendations on replacements when they're due, stick with the same or change to another brand/type? Car is a 63 plate Superb Estate 170
  9. Thanks, didn't think it was going to be that cheap, or that easy.. :(
  10. no idea.. will call a dealer tomorrow and ask.
  11. So, can I just get this? http://www.skodaparts.com/product/superb-tail-light-n-s-estate-2009-2013-49991
  12. thanks all, so dealer my best option? can i just source the OEM part and fit myself though?
  13. As per the picture, have a nice cracked rear light cluster. How do I replace this? Is it just a cover?
  14. 148 13 plate superb elegance 170 estate DSG in silver
  15. Almost done the first 1000 miles in my 13 plate elegance estate (170) and am loving DSG.. Coming from a manual Volvo it's so nice to go auto again for the first time in a long time... Really can't complain (except for the stop start - but that's a different topic)
  16. Just ordered a facelift car, arriving in 2-3 weeks .. Great finance deal too, not through Skoda
  17. Thanks guys... Anything else I need to be aware of?
  18. Afternoon folks, Am very very close to saying yes to a 13 plate Estate with DSG (for SWMBO who can't drive a manual) with the 170 engine in Elegance trim. We're moving from 3 cars down to 2 - getting rid of the V60 1.6d (lease expiring) and an 08 A6 Avant 2.7 Tdi, but keeping the Lotus Elise . Is there anything I need to look out for in this combination, what's the real world MPG I can expect (my Volvo average, as tracked on Fuelly is 47.6 mpg (have achieved 800 miles on one 70 litre tank a few times)? Do a good 25000-30000 miles a year with plenty of trips to Holland and Germany.
