  1. My iPhone 6 connects on its own and music streaming works fine. However calls don't want to work. When the phone rings I can't answer the call from any of the cars controls, the only option I get is to hang up.

Under testing I answered the call via my phone but the audio isn't coming through to the car. I've tried removing and pairing the phone with no success.

I suspect this is an iPhone 6 issue as my 5S was perfectly fine right through iOS 8 beta and ok when iOS went live.

    Lewjo (Joseph)

    I had the same issue.

iPhone 5s after install of ios8.

Tried numerous resets of phone, really pairing and resetting the bolero nothing worked.

What worked for me was resetting the network settings.

    Settings>general>reset>reset network settings.

I now have full functionality again.

    Hope that helps

  2. I have done it, it is not easy but not hard.

You need to remove the black plate underneath the bulb, these easily pop off using the small L shaped metal tool in the boot.

Once off you need to remove bulbs but before this each bulb has a small plastic clip that pushes over the back of the bulb this pulls off, the bulb can then be twisted off like normal

I found two of the bulbs very tight and destroyed my arms removing them.

Once I got the standard bulbs out I was ready to put the LED bulbs in.

    From ready on the forum I got H18 18 LED bulbs x 4 ( cost of £17 a pair)

When I compared my new bulbs to these one of the retaining lugs was to big and had to be trimmed with some pliers, pretty easy to do and very tight fitting after.

The car needed to be coded with vcds which I did first following the instructions in the sticky thread.

They do look a million times better, I am sure someone will begin to moan about "yellow light is better than white for fog blah blah blah" But I don't care and it does look a million times better. I had corner fogs enabled before I got the LEDs and disabled it because it looked horrible with the yellow light of the fogs.

Below is the car with the LEd fogs

  3. Do you have a link to the exact cable you used on your eBay history? I read your original thread and bought a cable but the car wouldn't pick it up.

  4. Hello All,

So I have the below error on my Octavia VRS MkIII, i have cleared the code on numerous occasions however it always comes back.

The only change I made was on 55-Headlight Range byte 6, i changed 00 static cornering light inactive/not installed to 04 static cornering light according to SAE J582.

    Original long coding: 03DE02003F000000

    Coding after change: 03DE02003F000400

Once this was changed i got the warning message on the dash so changed the byte back to 00 static cornering light inactive/ no installed and cleared the fault.

The fault just comes back straight away.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  5. I am having the same issue. The coming home lights (when you unlock) do not work, this occurs when you leave for a longer period of time, a little 10 minute stop won't matter. Think I am going to code the Rain closing back to normal tomorrow and see if this fixes the issue.

  6. Tested and working on way home from work last night. Entry slip dual carriageway into motorway about 1/2 mile long no lighting, as soon as I got on road full beams, road bends round to left and I saw a car towards it killed the full beams very quickly as soon as car past re-activated. Very quick to respond.

Thanks to xpower for getting me a £300 optional extra for nothing!

  7. I need help please.

I have recently got VCDS and have been getting on with it fine, however when i was applying the mirror dip on selecting reverse i think i have changed the wrong bytes, i was supposed to change byte 4 enabling bit 2 and 3 however i think i have enabled bit 2 and 3 on one of the other twelve bytes, i did change byte 4 but i am almost certain i changed one of the others also.

This has caused the window to only open 1 cm at a time no matter how long you hold the down switch on for it only goes a cm at a time, you have to release it and then press it again a number of times for it to go all the way down.

If possible could someone have a look at there car and and tell me for the each twelve bytes what bits are selected on each.

    post-108461-0-81116400-1402591250_thumb.png

    starting with the 00.

    e.g.

Byte 0 (which is shown as 00 in the above picture)

    bits 1, 5

    Byte 1

    bits 2, 6

    and so on.

This would be greatly appreciated and shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

I really don't want to have to go through each one enabling and disabling every byte, closing VCDS testing it would take a whole day.

    Massive thank you in advance.

  8. Was it simple to get to the back of the glovebox from behind the dash? I had an old Vectra which was easy, but also had a Focus and it was a nightmare!

Yes it was open the glove box and you can simply feed the cable up the back of the glovebox and then in between the CD/SD module grab the cable and pull it through. I then tucked the rest of the cable behind the foam sound insulation in the passenger footwell.
