  1. I have changed the cambelt, tensioner and water pump on my 1.9 tdi roomster. I used a locking set and used an SKU kit as I believe it it OEM. Ever since I have an issue with the Egr warming coming on and sometimes low turbo pressure. I have changed the Egr and checked all connections several times but I cannot fix it. Power and fuel economy are both down to. I have removed the top cambelt cover and the tensioner is still correctly set I am thinking I need to strip the car down again and check the cam belt timing still align but thought I would ask the forum for suggestions before doing this next weekend Any recommendations really appreciated Russell
  2. I have checked the fuses over the battery cover so will check the fan motor operates witha dirrct 12v source and then work back to the controller under the battery. Thanks for your help
  3. The engine fan on my 2001 Octavia 1.8T 4x4 does not come on what ever the engine temperature. I have resorted to turning the heating up fill when in stationary traffic which drops the water temperature but is only a temporary solution. I have taken the plug off the water temperature sensor towards the bottom of the rad and get 12v on the bottom right spade but when I connect the tp the to spade the slow fan does not come on. When I connect to two lower spades together with the ignition on I do not get the high speed fan on either. Is there a fan relay or anything else in between the fan sensor plug and the actual fan that could cause the issue. Mu next action will be to put 12v directly onto the fan and check if it operates. Any advise would be appreciated.
